The Rohingya Cultural Memory Centre was created to help the Rohingya community preserve their cultural identity and traditions in the refugee camps. It collects, stores, and shares the community's stories, knowledge, and skills through workshops where elders teach young people techniques like bamboo weaving and using natural materials. The building's design incorporated these materials and was informed by community members' memories and experiences. It provides a welcoming space for the Rohingya people to come together and engage with their cultural practices and history despite being displaced.
