The Taragaon Museum is located in Kathmandu, Nepal. It was built in 1970 as a hotel but was abandoned in the 1990s. It was restored and reopened as a museum in 2014 to document the cultural heritage efforts of foreigners in Kathmandu Valley during the 20th century. The museum features a permanent collection across three buildings along with a contemporary art gallery, event hall that can seat 75 people, and outdoor amphitheater that can seat 150 people. It was designed by American architect Carl Pruscha and aims to preserve and restore the arts and heritage of Kathmandu Valley.
