• Our task was to find out the role organizational
environment in motivating employees with respect to an
actual organization. In our report, we have discussed
how organizational environment influences employee’s
motivation at, Lintas Films (Part of Lowe & Rauf
Pakistan).

• Employees are familiar with company mission and vision
statement.
• Employees feel motivated to achieve company’s goals.
• Company’s hierarchy is flat and there are very less
communication barrier between lower management and top
management.
• It makes the communication flow much easier, motivate
employees and increase productivity, and gives spontaneous
feedback.
• There are stories of previous events and heroes of company
that still motivates employees.
• There are rituals of birthday celebration of company as well as
its employees, farewell dinners and welcoming parties, which
motivates employees.

employees are fairly good (rated - 3.5/5).
• The preferred language of use for any sort of communication
in company is English, and the company has their own unique
words to communicate between their colleagues.
• Company praises its employees when they achieve goals.
• Company provides a motivating atmosphere to its employees.
• The job or work they do is self-motivating for the employees.
• Training given to employees motivates them.

13. • Employees are chosen based on their past experiences, skill
level, communication and personality. But for them

• Employees feel motivated if they get feedback from
supervisors.

14. • Despite of good physical working environment provided to
employees, there are things (facilities) missing which are needed for
work purposes.
• Company only praises its lower level and upper level employees
when they achieve goal, even with extra efforts. Usually they expect
more than praises.
• Due to changing Government policies & laws, employees feels de-
motivated w.r.t. their pay.
• Due to recession or any other problem, when there is no or less
work, employees feel de-motivated.
• During job rotations, employees experience job fit anxiety which
demotivates them.

15. • Peer pressures and politics within company demotivate employees.
• When extra responsibilities are given to employees, they feel
demotivated because of less compensation and benefits.
• Company policies which demotivates employees are regarding,

• Work Benefits are not satisfactory.

16. • The relationship between staff and their supervisor is fair.
Supervisors and managers don’t motivate their employees.
• Salary plan of the company are not satisfactory.
• After getting their pay/salary, employees expect more like
bonuses or benefits.
• Employees don’t feel motivated if they get negative feedback
with a motivating attitude of supervisor to do better next
time.

Factors of work environment that de-motivates employees:
17. Recommendations
• As Motivation is mostly self-driven in the service industry,
recognition or benefit in any form is motivation. It can be in
form of compensation, acknowledgement letter, email, phone
call, etc.
• Employees should be recognized more often or should be
given more benefits rather than just getting praises.
• Supervisors and Managers should motivate their employees
more often.
• Relationship between supervisors/mangers and staff can be
motivating if they keep it task-oriented and rewarding.
• The company should know what their employees want.
18. Recommendations
• Work benefits and salary plans policies should be revised and
considered w.r.t. the needs of employees.
• Company should promote a non-political environment within
different levels of organization.
• Company policies regarding absenteeism, Job security,
Retirement Benefits and Family Benefits should be revised or
introduced.
