Kuvaus sisällöstä:
Suunnittelun tavoitteena on, että
Kauppatorin asema Helsingin
historiallisesti arvokkaana ja
merellisenä edusaukiona säilyy ja
vahvistuu. Toria kehitetään osana
kävelykeskustaa ja eri
liikennemuotojen toimivana
solmukohtana. Torin monipuolinen
toiminnallisuus ja torikaupan
kehittymisen mahdollisuudet
halutaan säilyttää. Lisäksi
tavoitteena on suunnitella ja
toteuttaa torin tekniset rakenteet
yhtenä kokonaisuutena siten, että
lopputulos on korkealuokkainen.
Kauppatorin suunnitteluperiaatteet
(kslk12/2016) ohjaavat
asemakaavan muutosta, joka tulee
vireille syksyllä 2017.

Opening islands
Helsinki has approximately 300 islands.
Former military islands Vallisaari and
Kuninkaansaari opened for visitors last
summer. Isosaari has opened only few days
ago.
These newly opened attractive island along
with the Fortress of Suomenlinna draws
tourists and creates a need to develop ferry
transportation from Kauppatori and Hakaniemi
to these new enchanting destinations.

39. STEERING MUNICIPAL
PLANNING
In Finland REGIONAL
LAND USE PLANS steer
the municipal planning and
define other planning made
by authorities. The
guidelines of a regional
land use plan are more
precisely defined in the
local master plans and the
local detailed plans.
HELSINKI CITY PLAN =
A LOCAL MASTER PLAN
is a general land use plan.
A LOCAL DETAILED
PLAN
indicates how areas can be
used and built, for instance
where buildings can be
located, how big they can
be and what they can be
