A. Opening: Given that our purpose here at Stamper Consulting is to produce the world’s best consulting services tour customers.
B. Discuss issues within the organization and why I am going to submit this proposal. In order to do so, I hereby propose a new communication structure for our organization that will lay the interpersonal foundation to make all of this possible.
C. Thesis: The following concepts are important for successful communication of this sort: nonverbal communication, cultural sensitivity, active listening, conflict resolution, the tactical and strategic facets of communication, being ethical and positive, being technologically savvy; what is more, this will all be implemented through training and reinforcement.
II. Nonverbal communication:
The first concept that is important for successful communication within an organizational setting is nonverbal communication.
A.
Supporting evidence: According to a study by Graham and Jennings of Wichita State and Unruh of National Institute for Management, over 50 percent of respondents felt that their supervisors’ verbal communication messages were frequently disaffirmed by their nonverbal cues. This often caused miscommunication, distrust, and frustration (Graham, Unruh, & Jennings, 1991).

Explanation: It is important for successful communication for a number of reasons. First and foremost, regardless of one’s feelings on the subject, the fact is that the nonverbal aspect of communication is a reality. Further, it is a source of major significance in terms of the impressions and unwritten messages that people constantly read into day-to-day communication. That is how human interaction has always been and, as they say, this truth is not going away anytime soon. In particular, consistency between a person’s verbal and nonverbal communication carries credibility with others, signaling a certain element of trustworthiness.

In order to find meaning from a visual message, you need to learn a systematic way for studying images.
1. Make an inventory list of every element in the image,

The Big Three
It is a common understanding that there are three main purposes to give a speech or presentation: to
inform, to persuade, or to entertain. Of course, there are no distinct separations – in order to persuade
you must inform, and lectures can be entertaining and informative at the same time. The key is to ask
what the end 'purpose' is. Towards that purpose, different techniques in preparing and speaking can be
employed.
1) Informative Speeches:
Speeches that inform are designed, as the name suggests, to convey information. These include
anything from a voice message saying when and where a meeting will take place, to a university
lecture. Testimonies in court, high school presentations, and YouTube videos on how to do something
are likewise members of this category.

audience, and she maintains a friendly tone. She even makes a few jokes, for example, "I don't wear
makeup for the nose hairs...." She relates the topic to the audience as well by explaining that if they are
worried about losing their hair, they can't go to a doctor and find out because it's unpredictable.
She presents her points in a very clear, organized and logical fashion.

The first concept that is important for successful communication within an organizational setting is nonverbal communication.

Supporting evidence: According to a study by Graham and Jennings of Wichita State and Unruh of National Institute for Management, over 50 percent of respondents felt that their supervisors’ verbal communication messages were frequently disaffirmed by their nonverbal cues. This often caused miscommunication, distrust, and frustration (Graham, Unruh, & Jennings, 1991).

Explanation: It is important for successful communication for a number of reasons. First and foremost, regardless of one’s feelings on the subject, the fact is that the nonverbal aspect of communication is a reality. Further, it is a source of major significance in terms of the impressions and unwritten messages that people constantly read into day-to-day communication. That is how human interaction has always been and, as they say, this truth is not going away anytime soon. In particular, consistency between a person’s verbal and nonverbal communication carries credibility with others, signaling a certain element of trustworthiness.

The Big Three
It is a common understanding that there are three main purposes to give a speech or presentation: to
inform, to persuade, or to entertain. Of course, there are no distinct separations – in order to persuade
you must inform, and lectures can be entertaining and informative at the same time. The key is to ask
what the end 'purpose' is. Towards that purpose, different techniques in preparing and speaking can be
employed.
1) Informative Speeches:
Speeches that inform are designed, as the name suggests, to convey information. These include
anything from a voice message saying when and where a meeting will take place, to a university
lecture. Testimonies in court, high school presentations, and YouTube videos on how to do something
are likewise members of this category.

Your formal persuasive speech is designed to help you develop persuasive speech making skills. Your goal is to persuade your audience for or against a Question of Policy. Questions of Policy inevitably involve Questions of Fact and Questions of Value BUT Questions of Policy

go beyond both to decide whether something should or should not be done. In other words, Questions of Policy attempt to persuade an audience that a specific course of action should or should not be taken. You may seek either passive agreement or immediate action from the audience, both of which should include all three (3) basic issues of policy speeches – need, plan, and practicality.
A variety of topics would be appropriate. For example, you might try to persuade us that same-sex marriage should be legalized, to agree that a security fence should be constructed along the US/Mexico border, to create a living will, to vote for a total ban on human cloning, that school districts should not allow soft-drink companies to stock their products in school vending machines, or that we should put an end to the violence on television.
REQUIREMENTS & EVALUATION CRITERIA:
You must have an audience of at least 6 people over the age of 16, including your camera operator. You should pan your audience before you begin your speech, begin your speech without stopping or splicing the video, then pan the audience again at the conclusion of your speech.
Failure to have less than the required 6 audience members will result in failing the assignment.
A visual aid is required for this presentation. Practice with your visual aid ahead of time so it will fit smoothly into your presentation. See Chapter 13 for types of visual aids you can use.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic Imperative
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. He had great pictures and they all had good information on them supporting his topic.The second part of the constructive criticism would be that The Key Ideas were well organized. He knew exactly what he was talking about and gave excellent numbers to support why social media is a big problem. Background elements were not of any distraction. I paid attention to the speaker the whole speech.The last part would have to be that I think the speaker did an amazing part at all aspects of his speech. My one major gripe would be that he worded it as a Persuasive Speech which I think everything he presented make the speech be more informative than persuasive. I would add more persuasive material to the speech and feed from that information. I wasnt persuaded as to why I should use social media less.
