The document discusses embedding principles of equality, diversity, inclusion and social justice into information literacy teaching at TU Dublin library services. It involved embedding these principles into an existing module and having the resources co-created and formally assessed. The library also developed collections on topics related to diversity and allocated a percentage of their budget to these collections. Student feedback showed that using diverse resources helped them become more educated about cultural issues, recognize their own biases and privilege, and see that though people differ, we all want equal treatment. The library plans to continue iterating and expanding these initiatives.
