Examples of license limit settings
• License limits are settable at the product, license pool (Admin Domain), and user
level.
• Limits set at one level set the envelope for the subordinate levels and admins
• Time limits:
– Relative (e.g. 30 days from date of first use)
– Absolute (e.g. 30 days from today)
– Warning Threshold and Grace Period
• Feature / option / module configuration
– Any number of feature/parameter pairs e.g. Feature is A On/Off, Feature B is
Off/Basic/Standard/Pro, Feature C is Off/1/2/3/4/…
– Complex-feature licensing, for example:
• Total user-license count of 15
• Feature A with 5 licenses with a 30-day time limit
• Feature B with 8 licenses at the Pro level
• Feature C with 4 licenses with capacity 500 and a 60-day time limit
• Usage
– Metering or debiting
