ok ladies
cd12 I got my LH surge so we did the dance late that night
cd 13 Danced twice more (am/pm)
cd 16 headahes and sinus congestion (mild)
cd 17 tickley and sore throat and light cough
Also since cd12 my boobs have been achy to the touch and today (cd 19) my hubby said he
thought the girls have grown a little.
no cramping like i’ve read on other ttc stories and no nausia either…. anyone else have the
same as me????

Additional Details
I have been experiencing light nausea in the evenings after eating but nothing that makes me
gag or vomit (sorry tmi)
Really want this to be the month ttc for 13 cycles now!

I really hope that this is your month hun however I would say from cd16 to 17 they are cold like
symptoms.
Also when a woman has ovulated this causes the sore boobs etc due to increase in estrogen
and progesterone levels. Everyone is different and gets different symptoms but I would say its
too early for symptoms.
I would wait until you are late for your period and then test.

BD the Tuesday prior, that saturday I got my LH?
surge and Sunday,… I am noticing my nips are pretty sore and I have clear CM this morning (
sorry if TMI) I am crampy as well. Maybe I’m just so hopeful that I’m presenting symptoms in
my head, but who knows? Is it possible to conceive 4 days before an LH surge? I’m thinking
that maybe why I’m showing symptoms already..

Has anyone had an LH surge (opk confirmed), and not had the
follicle rupture (release the egg)?
I am on clomid and estrogen and have always ovulated on day 14. My cycle is very predictable
every month and I have not had cycle problems. I had a positive surge as usual, but my period
never came. I had PMS symptoms for 2 weeks!! Pregnancy test was negative, but still no
period on day 37. HCG test negative also. My doctor put me on Provera to induce my period.
He said I had an LH surge BUT the follicle mustn’t have ruptured causing my period to not
happen. I was worried more could be wrong with me. This has never happened before and have
been TTC for almost 2 years (3 failed pregnancies). Has anyone experienced this and know
why? Was it a one time thing or did it continue to happen? Thanks for any help!
I am on clomid to help improve ovulation as I had one blocked tube. It is just to improve the
chances of conception.

Yes. It can happen. In fact in my last cycle I got a positive opk, but didnt ovulate (I was doing
cycle monitoring at the time). My egg kept growing, but never released.
When this happens it tends to result in a functional cyst (common, go away on their own).

4. I know it’s frustrating, especially since it makes your cycle go out of whack. Hopefully your
period will come soon.
PS. If you have never had cycle problems, why are you on clomid? Clomid is known for causing
functional cysts when given to women who have regular cycles/ovulation.
If you’re worried you can ask for an ultrasound to confirm there’s no issues, but it all sounds
like a normal reaction to clomid.
Talk to your doctor then, if they monitor you, they can also give you a shot to get you to ovulate
when your follicles are the right size so you wont have this issue again.

7day long lh surge with OPK?
Hello, my LH surge has been longer than usual so far I have had it from CD13-CD18. This is
really weird. I have a 28 day cycle and usually ovulate on CD14. I use physical symptoms that I
get around this time to verify ovulation. I could have sworn the surge went away on CD15,
unless I read the OPK too early. All of a sudden on CD 15 I believe Im gettting a lot of thin clear
CM so I test again and its positive and I still have a surge again this morning, this is CD18 for
me. I usually dont get CM thats why I have been using preseed for the last two cycles. I also
dont get a really long surge, this is the first time can anyone explain what is going?

5. I am in the exact same boat! Makes me feel a lot better now to know that someone else is going
through this. I always get 3 positive OPK’s. One each morning for 3 days, then on the 4th day I
get a Neg. But this month my period was extremely short (3 days) and the rest (2 days) was
spotting. VERY out of the norm for me. So I started using my OPK’s early and from cycle day
10-now I have been getting positives. I’m so lost. I have tested for Pregnancy but those are all
Neg. Hopefully someone who has ideas will answer our Q’s. Good Luck!

LH SURGE AND OVULATION CONFUSION CAN ANYONE HELP?
my last cycle was 39 days my LMP was 1st may 2009 i bled 4 days which is usual for me. Took
a home opk on thursday 21st may 2009 the pee stick had a smiley face does that mean
ovulation is near,according to the information a smiley face indicates LH surge i am now 7dpo
and a day or 2 ago started getting af like pains however that started cd26 im day cd28 i had a
day 21 blood test on 21st may 2009 and result was 12.1 i am so confused by these results as
opk suggest ovulation was on way me and DH BD 2 DAYS AND THE DAY B4 21ST MAY AND
2 DAYS AFTER THE 21ST MAY 2009 CAN U PLEAZ HELP AS THESE SYMPTOMS ALSO
CONFUSING
AF like pains in lower tummy
cm like af is here but when i check nothin but cm and lots of it SORRY TMI

6. OPKs detect the LH surge. When the LH surge is detected ovulation should take place 12-36
hours after. So yes a positive OPK means that ovulation is close.
Ignore the symptoms you are having now and take a pregnancy test when you expect your next
period.

Question about my LH surge?
I had my iud removed over a month ago and about a week after i got my first positive lh surge
and it lasted about 3 days. Now here i am 2 weeks later with no period and 2 days of positive lh
surges again. Does that mean i didnt ovulate 2 weeks ago or could i be pregnant? I even have
all the symptoms. I took 2 tests an Answer and an Equate. The answer said no and the equate
gave me a faint yes.
So what do you think am i ovulating or am i pregnant?

When you have an LH surge it means you will ovulate within the next 24-48hrs. Thus the
positive for 2-3days.
Now..if you have been sexually active during the surges their is a high possibility you are
pregnant.
Are you having the positive LH surges now? If so, it sounds like you’re pregnant. (their is also

7. a underlying cause..PCOS sometimes gives you positive LH surges without ovulating.)..
Test within the next 4days with the same pregnancy test you got a faint positive with.. HCG
levels double every other day.. So in the next 4days (if pregnant) you’re lines will be getting
darker and darker..
