This lesson plan is for a 10th grade English class at SMA Negeri 11 Samarinda. Over two class periods, students will learn about descriptive texts by identifying their generic structure and linguistic features. They will practice describing people's appearances in pairs using simple present tense and specific vocabulary. The teacher will provide examples and feedback. By the end, students should be able to write a 10 sentence descriptive paragraph using correct spelling, readability, language appropriateness, and vocabulary. Student work will be assessed using a rubric focusing on these areas.
