II. SUBJECT MATTER:
“Reading Time by Half – Hour
REFERENCE: Forty Week Curriculum
MATERIALS: flash card, chart, paper clock.
III. PROCEDURE:
A. Preparation:
Counting numbers by 5 and by 10.
B. Drill:
Let them read the time in the flash card.
C. Review:
Show them a paper clock.
- Let them read the time shown in the paper clock.
D. Motivation:
Show them a paper clock
-Give the parts of the clock and the function of each hand.
E. Presentation:
What is the use of a clock?
- Reading of time by the half- hour.
F. Discussion:
-Give each pupil a paper clock.
-Let them count by ‘5 in moving the long hand of the clock.
-Show them the time in the paper clock by half hour through moving the short hand
-Give each pupil a flash card with a given time.
G. Generalization:
Call each group representative to manipulate the paper clock in a given time shown.

What time is it? Read the correct time on the clock.
