A. Changing Seasons: Identify and explain what the Moon looks like on Earth during each month
of the year.
B. Flip Book: Students create a book showing the phases of the moon and the changes it goes
though.
C. Moon Video: Students see a demonstration of the way the Moon rotates and why it looks
different.
D. Phases of Day: Students name the times of the day and what activities go on at that time.
E. Stump Your Partner: Students learn about time zones
F. Sun Earth Puzzle: Students build their vocabulary
G. Dark Side of the Moon: Students predict what is on the dark side of the Moon.
H. Favorite Time of Day: Students name the times of the day and what activities go on at that
time of day.

Each of the students will complete a folder for each theme

a. I will have a check off rubric for the students to use while they are working so they
know where they have been.
B. How I will assess the work.
a. I will check the completion rubric periodically so I know that the students are
working at a good pace. In addition, the students will keep their completed work in
the file so that grading is convenient and easy. When an assignment is not able to fit
in the folder I will just use the completion rubric as a means of assessing the
students work.
C. How I know all students participate in each center.
a. The completion rubric will allow me to make sure that all students participate in
each center.
V. Ability to change
A. I have magnetized the board so that it is easily changeable. In addition, I have added folders
that allow for me to insert materials easily.
