We should show respect to everyone. Respect means treating others with politeness through words and actions. It includes being obedient to elders and helping others. Respect is important because it helps people get along and feel good around each other. We all deserve respect as members of the human race created by God, regardless of our differences. Showing respect to all people and things leads to greater understanding and peace.

Every contribution to community work, large or small, is important for development and improvement. The spirit of civic consciousness and bayanihan remains when community members genuinely care for each other.
Lesson 2 We Have in God

What to do during emergencies and disaster
Mr. Digno, an emergency and disaster expert, gave a lecture to residents about common emergencies in the Philippines like blackouts, earthquakes, fires, typhoons and floods. He advised residents to "Think, Prepare, and Act" - to think of a plan, prepare necessary supplies, and act quickly during emergencies. He recommended families prepare a disaster plan including an evacuation meeting point and disaster supply kit with at least 3 days of water, non-perishable food, clothing and a flashlight. The barangay chairman assured residents his office is prepared to help during emergencies.

- 1. Lesson 3:We Show Respect For Everyone
- 2. ✨GETTING READY✨ Respect is the honor we give to someone we look up to and regard as important like our parents and grandparents. We respect people also because we love them. One way of showing respect is by being obedient to elders and persons of authority (like teachers, policemen, etc.) at all times. We can also show respect by helping others or by being kind to them. We should always be kind and helpful to every person that we meet. Remember that a person who respects others is also respected by others.
- 3. Respect means treating everyone around us the way we want them to treat us – with the use of polite expressions and gestures. Honorifics are words we use to address someone in respectful manner. Some examples of honorifics are Ate, Kuya, Kaka, Manong and Manang.
- 4. ✨LEARNINGWHAT IS GOOD ✨ Respect is an important virtue that we try to develop in ourselves, especially when we are with others. It helps us get along with each other and feel good about being together. From a very young age, we have learned about respect from our parents and elders. From them, we have learned our value and importance as human person. We have also learned that because we are important, we deserve to be loved, treated kindly and respectfully, and be heard.The things we have learned from them help us grow with respect for ourselves and for other people, too.
- 5. ✨NOW I KNOW✨ Each and everyone of us is a member of human race. We are brothers and sisters in the eyes of God. For these reasons, We all deserve to be treated with respect regardless of who we are, what we do, and where we come from. I do not only respect other people, I also respect animals and other living creatures.They, also, deserve respect because God created them, too. I also respect the things that other people own because their owners worked hard for them.Treating everyone and everything with respect paves the way for understanding and more peaceful world.
- 6. Respect everyone, and love your Christian brothers and sisters. Fear God, and respect the king. Peter 2:17
