Lemurs live in groups in the tropical rainforests, dry woodlands, and desert scrub of Madagascar. They leap between trees to find food like fruit, flowers, insects and young buds. Lemurs have good senses of smell and vision to locate both food and predators. Male ring-tailed lemurs engage in competitive bobbing dances during their one-day annual mating season in April or May to impress females.
