Animals and Plants I Found in forest
Introduction
• Frogs are carnivorous ,and will eat bugs such
as fruit , flies , crickets , wood louses . Some
other frogs may eat lizard , small fish .Some of
the frogs’s skins varying in colour and
pattern. Colour shades very among frogs
within a species . It is the skin that contains
the frog’s poison.
Characteristics
• Frogs have the characteristics of two bulging
eyes ,strong legs , webbed hind feet that are
adapted for leaping and swmming and
smooth or slimy skin.
Habitat
• Frogs ‘s habitat is in or near ponds.This is
because frogs spam in water
Introduction
• Mimosa pudica also called sensitive plant.The
common name called sensitive plant,touch me
not plant,humble plant and shamful plant.The
foliage closes during darkness and reopens in
light.The leaves also close under various other
stimulu,such as touching,warming,blowing or
shaking.The species can be a troublesome
weed in tropical crops, particulary are hand
cultivated.
Characteristics
• Semi-erect or ground-hugging herb up to
80cm tall,often forming a small bush.Heavily
armed with small thorns. Leaves composite
,sensitive and soft-textures.Flowers pale pink
to lilac,in stalked heads up to 2 cm in
diamter.Fruits pod-like up to 18 mm long with
prickly margins.Pollinated by wind and insects
Habitat
• Mimosa plant grows wild in places with moist
,rich soil and warm temperatures,usually in
lawns and open field, and along
roadsides,ditches and thickets.

• Webbing->to support swmming
• Hint legs->Most frogs have large back
legs,which help thm hop from place to
place.But a few frogs that dig burrows have
hind legs.

• Toungue->muscular structure attached to the
front of the mouth which is extended to catch
insects (it’s food)
• Mouth->traps insects to be eaten
