The Leicestershire VCS Strategy Group aims to set a vision and strategy for how the public and voluntary sectors in Leicestershire can work together. It was formed from the previous Compact Implementation Group to take a more strategic approach. The group wants to involve the voluntary community sector in activities like vision and strategy setting, decision-making, commissioning, communication, and joint service planning and delivery. It will also oversee Compact implementation and advise the Leicestershire Together Commissioning Board and theme boards.

Links with Other Partnerships • The VCS Strategy Group can feed directly into the Commissioning Board and Executive as a cross cutting partnership. • It can act as an advisory and critical friend, making recommendations to the Commissioning Board and Executive and Theme Boards and receive actions subject to capacity.
