With the title of the film within the center of the shot.
The font of the title is in a light highlight pink which
follows the codes and conventions of a chick flick. The
music is playing throughout the shot continuously and
theme tune is very happy and upbeat which creates a
good atmosphere for the audience.

4. Within the second shot of the opening scene it shows
another extreme close up. This extreme close up consist
of a pink card with glitter all over it, this shows that its
very girly.

5. In this mid shot, it shows a girl riding her bike across a
bridge. While in the background of the shot it appears
to be very sunny and the area surrounding the shot
seems to be very nice and pretty and looks like an ideal
location to where chick flicks are filmed. This shot is
slightly longer than the other shots and the camera
angle is also longer within this shot. The shot also
contains credits in a girly pink font which appears in
the centre at the bottom of the shot which fades in and
out.

6. Within this shot it shows a girl getting ready to go
somewhere and she is seen to be shaving her legs with
a pink razor which reinforces the codes and

America for a group of college boys which is a very
ideal for the mise en scene of a chick flick as boys fall
into chick flicks through the romance side of the chick

8. This shot shows an extreme close up of the girl putting
her necklace. The shot shows that it is very girly as you
can see her pink dress and love heart shaped necklace
which is very stereotypical for girls. However the shot
still doesn't’t reveal the girls face, which makes the
audience interested to know what she looks like and
what her character will be like.

9. This scene shows a close up of the girl painting her
nails which is a very stereotypical activity for a girl so
therefore is good for the mise en scene of a chick flick.

10. This shot shows a close up of some of the girls items
within her room, which show pink fluffy pens and
flowered photo frames and the shot also reveals the
pink wallpaper in the background. These items shown
within the shot are very girly and reinforce the codes
and conventions of a chick flick because the ideal girl
would have a stereotypical pink room of some sort. The
