This Excel spreadsheet tracks behavior points for classes during art time over 6 weeks. Each class starts with 30 points each week, with 10 points possible in 3 sections: demonstration, work time, and clean up. A maximum of 10 points can be deducted in each section. The total points at the end of class are recorded on a bulletin board. The spreadsheet organizes classes and weeks to calculate totals and averages. The class with the highest average at the end of 6 weeks wins a special art day reward.

1. This Excel spreadsheet would be used in conjunction with a bulletin board that
keeps track of points for each class' behavior during art time. The spreadsheet
is divided into class and weeks. Each class comes into the art room with an
automatic 30 points to start. Points are divided into 3 sections with 10 points in
each section: demonstration, work time and clean up. Maximum of 10 points
can only be taken off during each section. At the end of the class, the total
number of points remaining will be recorded on the bulletin board.
Excel is used by me as a data management tool to keep track of the points
each class receives and to organize them into the weekly charts for posting on
the bulletin board. At the end of six weeks, a new chart will be posted showing
the winner and that class will have a special art day (examples to choose from:
their music choice during work time, free-draw day, Pictionary, etc...) The
posting of weekly charts will hopefully help give classes incentive to behave
during art time and a way for me to keep the disciplinary problem under
control.
