The target vocabularyisbasedonthe topic“Seasons”.The storycan be usedfordevelopingfour
basiclinguisticskills:reading,listening,writingandspeaking.The activitiessuggestedtothe storycan be
usedat any stage of the lesson(beginning,the mainpart,ending)appropriatelyaspre-reading/listening,
while- reading/listening,after- reading/listeningtasks.
Story “Four Wishes”
(children are not told the title of the story and the ending of it)
“One winterdayDan came home fromthe skating-rink.He wasveryhappy.Hisface was redand
fresh.He saidto hisfather:
“How nice itis inwinter!Itisso frostyand snowy.Ican skate the whole dayIwant wintertobe
all the time!”

Soonspringcame.The weatherwaswarmand sunny.Dan ran and playedwithhisfriendsinthe
yard and inthe gardenall days long.One dayhe saidto hisfather:

1) Drawing the mind map in four groups. The teacherdividesstudentsinfourgroupsandgives
each groupthe task to draw the mindmap“Seasons”.Afterhavingdone the activityone
studentfromeachgroup presentsthe mindmaptothe class.
2) Memorizingthe poem “Seasons”.Eachstudentisgiventhe sheetof paperwiththe poem
“Seasons”whichhasgot fourblanksand asksstudentstofill inthe blankswithappropriate
colourgiveninthe list:
