travellingandworkinginthe garden.I'mlookingforpartnersformutual eTwinningprojectsfrom
Europeancountries.

I like the ideaof the classroomwheneverystudenthashis/herowndeskwithalaptopora computeron
it,a bigsmartboardinthe front.It shouldbe a light,spaciiousclassroomequippedwithall modern
technologydevices.
Task nr.5: The methodologies
Project-basedmethod usedineTwinningprojectsisusedbyme inthe classroom.Due tothe workwith
partnersinthe eTwinningplatformit helpstodevelopdifferent competences. The workineTwinningis
basedon the interactive aspect,teamworkanddevelopsstudents’abilitiesincritical thinking.Atmy
lessonsIuse suchmethodsas creative writingand comicstrips;ICT;differentkindsof gamesand
interactive taskslike LearningApps.
Task nr.6: Children'sthinkingskillsdevelopment
For problemsolvingIsuallysplitmystudentsingroups,give themthe taskandaskthemto suggest
differentviewpointshowtosolve it.All ideasare welcome.Studentsdisscussprosandcons,make a
posterof theirideasandpresenttheirviewpointstothe whole class.The viewpointsof all groupsare

In myeTwinningproject"A shortadventure storyinmytown'the task was to create a story withreal or
imaginative characterswhichhappenedinourtowns.Firstly,Iaskedstudentstobrainstormthe ideas
whatour story wouldbe about.Thenwe votedforthe bestplot.Afterthat we decidedwhowouldwrite
the beginning,the mainbodyandthe endingforthe story.Afterhavingcollectedall the ideaswe
correctedour story.Finally,studentscreatedacrosswordpuzzle totheirstory.
Task nr.8b: Snowball game

Person3makesa logical phrase cosisting of 3 words.The game continuesuntil all the wordsinthe
sentence are saidinthe correct order.In thiswaywe teach studentstomake longsentence fromone
wordsuggestedatthe beginning.
Task nr. 9: Lessonplan “Seasons”
Visual aidsandhand-outs:
 picturesof fourseasons;
 sheetsof paperforeverystudenttocomplete the poem“Seasons”;
 charts for everystudenttofill theminwithnecessaryinformationfromthe story;
 pens,markers.
Objectives:
 to practice students’grammarskills,suchasuse of Past Simple inoral speech;
 to developstudents’communicative skillsandcritical thinking;
 to teachstudentstoanalyze informationanddraw conclusions.
Explanation
The target vocabularyisbasedonthe topic“Seasons”.The storycan be usedfordevelopingfour
basiclinguisticskills:reading,listening,writingandspeaking.The activitiessuggestedtothe storycan be
usedat any stage of the lesson(beginning,the mainpart,ending)appropriatelyaspre-reading/listening,
while- reading/listening,after- reading/listeningtasks.
Story “Four Wishes”
(children are not told the title of the story and the ending of it)
“One winterdayDan came home fromthe skating-rink.He wasveryhappy.Hisface was redand
fresh.He saidto hisfather:
“How nice itis inwinter!Itisso frostyand snowy.Ican skate the whole dayIwant wintertobe
all the time!”
”Write downyourwishinyour notebook”,saidthe father.
Soonspringcame.The weatherwaswarmand sunny.Dan ran and playedwithhisfriendsinthe
yard and inthe gardenall days long.One dayhe saidto hisfather:
“How nice itis inspring!I wantspringto be all the time!”
”Write downyour wishinyournotebook”,saidthe father.
Thensummercame.Dan and hisfatherwere busyinthe garden.The flowerswere sobeautiful
and bright,berriesandfruitwere sosweet.One dayDansaidto hisfather:
“How nice itis insummer!Itis so hotand the sun shinesbrightly!Iwantsummerto be all the
time!”
Soonautumncame. The weatherwaswindy,cloudyandcool.There were alotof redapples,
yellowpears,blue plumsandgrapesinthe garden.Danwas veryhappy,so he saidto hisfather:
“How nice itis inautumn!I want autumnto be all the time!”
The ending of the story which the students do not read/listen:
The fathertook outthe notebook,showedittohissonand said:
“Now,Dan lookat your wishesandreadaboutwinter,spring,summerandautumn.So,whatis
the bestseasonof the year?”
Pre-reading/listeningactivities:
1) Drawing the mind map in four groups. The teacherdividesstudentsinfourgroupsandgives
each groupthe task to draw the mindmap“Seasons”.Afterhavingdone the activityone
studentfromeachgroup presentsthe mindmaptothe class.
2) Memorizingthe poem “Seasons”.Eachstudentisgiventhe sheetof paperwiththe poem
“Seasons”whichhasgot fourblanksand asksstudentstofill inthe blankswithappropriate
colourgiveninthe list:
BRIGHT, YELLOW, WHITE, GREEN
Springis_________ (green),
Summeris ________ (bright),
Autumnis_________ (yellow),
Winteris__________ (white).
Studentsmayuse differentappropriate markersinthe gapsto draw the colourof the season.Firstlyin
chorus,thenindividuallystudentsrecite the poem.
3) Brainstorming. The teacherasksthe childrentobrainstormthe idea“ Why doyou like winter/
spring/summer/autumn?”All suggestedideasare writtenonthe blackboard.
While-reading/listeningactivities:
1) Liningup the pictures that depictthe eventsof the story in order they happened.Firstly,the
activitycan be done ingroups,lateron the blackboardas the model tocheck if the children
were right.
2) Suggestingthe title for the story. Thisactivitycanbe organizedinthe formof the competition,
the group withthe most interestingtitle wins.
3) Predictingthe endof the story. The activitycan be done ingroups at first,thenpresentedin
frontof the class.The groupwiththe most interestingendingwins.
After-reading/listeningactivities:
1) Fillinginthe table with the informationfrom the story.

Objectives:  to practice students’grammarskills,suchasuse of Past Simple inoral speech;  to developstudents’communicative skillsandcritical thinking;  to teachstudentstoanalyze informationanddraw conclusions. Explanation The target vocabularyisbasedonthe topic“Seasons”.The storycan be usedfordevelopingfour basiclinguisticskills:reading,listening,writingandspeaking.The activitiessuggestedtothe storycan be usedat any stage of the lesson(beginning,the mainpart,ending)appropriatelyaspre-reading/listening, while- reading/listening,after- reading/listeningtasks. Story “Four Wishes” (children are not told the title of the story and the ending of it) “One winterdayDan came home fromthe skating-rink.He wasveryhappy.Hisface was redand fresh.He saidto hisfather: “How nice itis inwinter!Itisso frostyand snowy.Ican skate the whole dayIwant wintertobe all the time!”

The teacherdividesstudentsinfourgroupsandgives each groupthe task to draw the mindmap“Seasons”.Afterhavingdone the activityone studentfromeachgroup presentsthe mindmaptothe class. 2) Memorizingthe poem “Seasons”.Eachstudentisgiventhe sheetof paperwiththe poem “Seasons”whichhasgot fourblanksand asksstudentstofill inthe blankswithappropriate colourgiveninthe list: BRIGHT, YELLOW, WHITE, GREEN Springis_________ (green), Summeris ________ (bright), Autumnis_________ (yellow), Winteris__________ (white). Studentsmayuse differentappropriate markersinthe gapsto draw the colourof the season.Firstlyin chorus,thenindividuallystudentsrecite the poem. 3) Brainstorming. The teacherasksthe childrentobrainstormthe idea“ Why doyou like winter/ spring/summer/autumn?”All suggestedideasare writtenonthe blackboard. While-reading/listeningactivities: 1) Liningup the pictures that depictthe eventsof the story in order they happened.Firstly,the activitycan be done ingroups,lateron the blackboardas the model tocheck if the children were right. 2) Suggestingthe title for the story. Thisactivitycanbe organizedinthe formof the competition, the group withthe most interestingtitle wins.
