Embedded Web Server based Interactive data acquisition and Control SystemIOSR Journals
ABSTRACT: Design of on-line embedded web server is a one of the difficult task of many real time data acquisition and control system applications. The global system of interconnected computer networks is called as World Wide Web which uses the standard Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) to aid billion of users worldwide and enables the user to interface many real time embedded applications like data acquisition,Industrial automations and safety measures etc,. This paper tells the design and development of on-line Interactive Data Acquisition and Control System (IDACS) using ARM9 based embedded web server. It is permitted to a network, intelligent and digital distributed control system. Single chip IDACS method increses the processing speed of a system and also avoids the problem of poor real time and reliability. This system uses ARM9 Processor and RTLinux. Web server application is ported into an ARM processor using embedded ‘C’ language. Web pages are designed in Hyper text markup language (HTML). Keywords - Embedded ARM9 Processor, RTLinux RTOS, Embedded web server, IDACS.

4. LEARNING COMMONS STUDENT ASSISTANT
ORIENTATION
Work Schedule – Student assistant hours vary from semester to semester. You will be scheduled to
work according to our needs and your availability. Students applying early will have more flexibility in
scheduling their work hours. The number of hours you may work each week is determined by the Work
Study dept. You will not work when classes are not in session e.g., faculty workshops, holidays, winter
and spring breaks. Students are allowed a 15 minute break after 4 hours of work.
Attendance – It is very important for you to report to work on time according to your approved
schedule. When it is necessary for you to be absent or late, call the student worker supervisor at
610.359.5146 (Information Desk) to inform her of your absence or lateness as soon as possible.
Always leave a message if no one answers. If you neglect to do this twice in a semester, or within
your 30 day probationary period that will be grounds for immediate termination.
• DO NOT EMAIL THIS INFORMATION! We rely on your help, so informing us as soon as
possible will allow us to plan for coverage in your absence. If you are absent more than three
times during the semester, we will evaluate the practicality of your schedule.
Academic Honesty Policy – All student assistants are expected to follow certain policies and
procedures concerning the privacy of theirs and other students private information. Certain information
should never be shared among students.
A few examples of academic dishonesty would be any of the following:
Sharing confidential information about another student
Taking supplies from the Learning Commons
Ask the SW Supervisor for a copy of the entire policy
Taking a laptop without permission
5. LEARNING COMMONS
ORIENTATION
Academics-Your academic progress is as important to us as it is to you. If your job in the
commons seriously interferes with your studies, please inform us so your hours can be modified
as needed. You may find that your studies for the semester are too intense for the schedule you
chose and your position should be terminated.
Job Description-All student workers should have a signed copy of their job description. This is
necessary so that you and your supervisor know exactly what is expected of you.
Customer Service-Delaware County Community College is committed to providing excellent
customer service. As a student assistant, you are expected to meet students’ needs in an efficient
and courteous manner. Please feel free to make suggestions for improving our services in private
to your supervisor.
Other Activities-Some activities are inappropriate during work hours. Any activity that makes
you unavailable to students or that appears unprofessional is not acceptable. These include doing
homework, taking exams, being tutored, or excessive socializing with your friends. Cell phone
conversations are strictly prohibited. The Learning Common’s phone at the Information Desk is
for college use only. Lunches or any type of food should be eaten in the café or cafeteria.
6. LEARNING COMMONS ORIENTATION
Name Tags and Sign-In Sheets– Each time you report to work, you should initial the sign-in
sheet provided at the Info desk. This is how we keep track of your time worked. If you need to
leave early or come in late that needs to be reflected on the sheet. Before you start your shift,
you should wear your lanyard with your name and the student assistant badge provided to you.
Electronic Time Records – THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! – It is your responsibility to input any
and all time that you work in any given week into your “time sheet” record on DelaGATE. Be
sure to double check that you are recording the time you worked in the appropriate box.
Please feel free to ask questions about your responsibilities in the commons at any time. A staff
member will always be available and willing to answer any of your questions. We want you to
know as much as possible about our services for students and we encourage you to develop
and improve your communication skills. Remember, it is always better to say “I don’t know: I’ll
ask someone,” than to give incorrect information to a student or faculty member.
We hope that your work here will be beneficial to our students, the Learning Commons
and to you as well! Enjoy and Welcome

8. GROUP STUDY ROOMS
Enforcing Policies:
Students need close monitoring while in GSR’s
Student Workers should walk around the LC on a regular basis
(approximately every 30 minutes) checking GSR’s
Tech SW’s will monitor the GSR’s by looking for violations such
as:
Food not allowed
Unauthorized movies being viewed individually or as a
group
Music being played loud enough to be heard outside the
GSR
One student does not justify an entire GSR. If you see 1
student in a GSR during busy times (9:00-2:00) contact a
staff member.
Remind students that GSR’s 15 and 16 are available for quiet
study only.
