amount of diversity and team
performance?
 What other factors might contribute, either
negative or positive, to team performance?
Diversity on its’ own did not seem to
have a significant influence.
But it was more positively influenced
by other factors, such as leadership,
clear expectations and effective
structuring of the teams.

  • 3. We often here that diversity in a team is important as it brings different perspectives. But we know there are also challenges with diversity. How do we balance this?
  • 4. How does diversity impact team performance? DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES & KNOWLEDGE DIFFERENT PRACTICES & EXPECTATIONS ARE THERE TOO MANY DIFFERENCES?
  • 5. My Research with International MBA Students  Is there are relationship between the amount of diversity and team performance?  What other factors might contribute, either negative or positive, to team performance?
  • 6. Diversity on its’ own did not seem to have a significant influence. But it was more positively influenced by other factors, such as leadership, clear expectations and effective structuring of the teams.
  • 7. What does this mean in the workplace? Leadership Must understand and support diversity Expectations Must be very clear to avoid misunderstanding Structuring Tools, processes, techniques aligned with diverse needs

Cross Cultural Leadership  A different approach to Leadership that recognizes differences and helps to bring diverse people to a common understanding.  One that weaves diversity into the workplace culture, and adapts processes to achieve this objective.  At all levels: Executive, Managers, Team Leaders
