Pacifism involves the belief that war and violence are unjustifiable and conflicts should be nonviolently resolved, often for religious or practical reasons. Amnesty International is an international human rights organization that campaigns to improve people's lives and end human rights abuses worldwide. The rules of just war state that war can only be waged defensively as an absolute last resort after all peace efforts fail, must avoid harming innocents, be as brief as possible, and aim to restore peace.
