Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
1. Dear parents and pupils,
Esteemed colleagues and guests,
Since September 2016, "Constantin Noica” High School Sibiu will be
involved for two years in a European project of strategic partnership that
aims to support the development, transfer and implementation of innovative
practices and joint initiatives in order to promote, cooperate, learn mutually
and to exchange of experience at European level.
This project (entitled "Ecological Literacy") will be conducted by our
high school team with the support of the European Commission, within the
Erasmus+ Programme, and we will have as partners schools from Turkey,
Portugal, Cyprus, Lithuania and Croatia.
I have to say, as coordinator, that all information we provide is the sole
responsibility of the project team in "Constantin Noica" High School Sibiu
and the National Agency for Community Programmes in Education and in
Vocational Training and the European Commission are not responsible for
how the content of this information is used.
The activities included in this project will be presented on a specially
created page on the high school website, on the project website and in our
high school magazine. The purpose of the events prepared by our pupils
(seminars and workshops on environmental issues, drawing contests, photo
exhibitions, artistical performances, publishing of brochures, documentary
visits to recycling plants or hothouses) is that of attracting public attention
on environmental problems having as target their awareness and sharing
knowledge on how to conserve limited natural resources.
By this first Erasmus+ project implemented by our high school, the
pupils (from the preparatory class to the class XII) have the chance to show
others the beauty of their personality, putting in value their qualities and
hobbies, care for the cleanliness of the environment in which they live and
learn, proving thus their friendship and the European appartenance. In the
conducting of these activities, we are confident that we will benefit from the
permanent support of the school inspectorate, of local authorities, of regional
environmental institutions and of the Association of Parents.
We hope that this project will be an incentive to all teachers in our city
to start Erasmus+ projects, contributing to continuous training of teachers
and to the strengthening of the European dimension in the education of the
pupils in Sibiu County by cooperative activities between schools.
