Roberto Di Bussolo, head of sustainable mobility services for the city of Venice, presented on the PUMAS project which aims to promote sustainable mobility at schools. The presentation outlined guidelines for developing participatory plans for sustainable school mobility, including analyzing the current situation, launching the project, realizing plans, and measuring results. One school was used as an example where experimental works were planned, as it was located near a crowded and unsafe street with pedestrian-vehicular mixing that was not respected. The overall goal is to analyze mobility patterns and encourage shifts towards more sustainable modes of transportation.
