suggests that one of these 2 girls will be the
victim in the movie.
A close up shot shows a man sat in the back of
a car, but the low key lighting hides what he
truly looks like. This suggests that he could be
the suspect of the movie, and his silence
makes him seem mysterious backing up this
suggestion.

in a superior position e.g. a police man. The smile on
his face suggests nothing dangerous has happened up
until this point, but the darkness may mean something
is about to happen as something always happens at
night in horror movies.
Over shoulder shot shows a cage which confirms they
are in a police car. The fact that the man is looking
over his shoulder shows there is a criminal in the
back, and this automatically creates tension as we
know something is going to happen.
Long shot shows car coming to a stop at the
railway. The fact that the setting is derelict and
dark creates tension as this is a typical point in a
horror movie that something would happen. We
also know this because of the minor non diegetic
music being played at the same time.

4. Cutaway shot shows the light has turned to red. This
colour is usually associated with danger or
blood, which are key aspects of horror movies.
Car crash shows the beginning of when the drama is
starting to happen. This automatically introduces
adrenaline into the audience as we can tell something
bad is about to happen because of the prisoner being
in the car.
Close up shot shows criminal stepping out the car. This
shows that the bad character is escaping and so this is
when the drama starts.
