Characterization and the Kinetics of drying at the drying oven and with micro...Open Access Research Paper
The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.
"Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Processes, Human Impacts, and Strategies for...MMariSelvam4
The carbon cycle is a critical component of Earth's environmental system, governing the movement and transformation of carbon through various reservoirs, including the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. This complex cycle involves several key processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, and carbon sequestration, each contributing to the regulation of carbon levels on the planet.
Human activities, particularly fossil fuel combustion and deforestation, have significantly altered the natural carbon cycle, leading to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and driving climate change. Understanding the intricacies of the carbon cycle is essential for assessing the impacts of these changes and developing effective mitigation strategies.
By studying the carbon cycle, scientists can identify carbon sources and sinks, measure carbon fluxes, and predict future trends. This knowledge is crucial for crafting policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing carbon storage, and promoting sustainable practices. The carbon cycle's interplay with climate systems, ecosystems, and human activities underscores its importance in maintaining a stable and healthy planet.
In-depth exploration of the carbon cycle reveals the delicate balance required to sustain life and the urgent need to address anthropogenic influences. Through research, education, and policy, we can work towards restoring equilibrium in the carbon cycle and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT GREEN WASHING IS!.pdfJulietMogola
Many companies today use green washing to lure the public into thinking they are conserving the environment but in real sense they are doing more harm. There have been such several cases from very big companies here in Kenya and also globally. This ranges from various sectors from manufacturing and goes to consumer products. Educating people on greenwashing will enable people to make better choices based on their analysis and not on what they see on marketing sites.

4. SHORT DESCRIPTION ABOUT LALBAGH
FORT
Lalbagh Fort (also Fort Aurangabad) is an incomplete 17th
century Mughal fort complex that stands before the Buriganga River in
the southwestern part of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The construction was
started in 1678 AD by Mughal Subahdar Muhammad Azam Shah who
was son of Emperor Auragzeb and later emperor himself. His
successor, Shaista Khan, did not continue the work, though he stayed in
Dhaka up to 1688.
5. HISTORY
Mughal prince Muhammad Azam, third
son of Aurangzeb started the work of
the fort in 1678 during his vice-royalty
in Bengal. He stayed in Bengal for 15
months. The fort remained incomplete
when he was called away by his father
Aurangzeb.
6. HISTORY
Shaista Khan was the new subahdar of Dhaka in that time, and he did not
complete the fort. In 1684, the daughter of Shaista Khan named Iran Dukht
Pari Bibi died there. After her death, he started to think the fort as unlucky,
and left the structure incomplete. Among the three major parts of Lalbagh
Fort, one is the tomb of Pari Bibi.
7. HISTORY
After Shaista Khan left Dhaka, it lost its popularity. The main cause was
that the capital was moved from Dhaka to Murshidabad. After the end of
the royal Mughal period, the fort became abandoned. In 1844, the area
acquired its name as Lalbagh replacing Aurangabad, and the fort became
Lalbagh Fort.
8. STRUCTURES
For long the fort was considered to be a combination of three buildings
(the mosque, the tomb of Bibi Pari and the Diwan-i-Aam), with two
gateways and a portion of the partly damaged fortification wall. Recent
excavations carried out by the Department of Archaeology of Bangladesh
have revealed the existence of other structures.
9. STRUCTURES
The southern fortification wall has a
huge bastion in the southwestern
corner. On the north of the south
fortification wall were the utility
buildings, stable, administration
block, and its western part
accommodated a beautiful roof-
garden with arrangements for
fountains and a water reservoir. The
residential part was located on the
east of the west fortification wall,
mainly to the southwest of the
mosque.
10. STRUCTURES
The fortification wall on the south had five bastions at regular intervals two
stories in height, and the western wall had two bastions; the biggest one is
near the main southern gate. The bastions had an underground tunnel.
11. STRUCTURES
The central area of the fort is occupied by three buildings - the Diwan-i-
Aam and the hammam on its east, the Mosque on the west and the Tomb
of Pari Bibi in between the two - in one line, but not at an equal distance. A
water channel with fountains at regular intervals connects the three
buildings from east to west and north to south.
12. Diwani-i-Aam
Diwan-i-Aam is a two storied residence of the Mughal governor
of Bengal located on the east site of the complex. A single storied
hammam is attached on its west. The hammam portion has an
underground room for boiling water. A long partition wall runs along the
western facade of the hammam.
13. Diwani-i-Aam
The building is situated about 39
meters (136’) to the west of the
tank, running from north to south.
The external measurements of the
building are 32.47m x 8.18m (107’ x
29’).
14. Diwani-i-Aam
There are living quarters on each level of two stories and a main central
hallway connecting them. There is a Hammam khana (Bathhouse) in the
southern part of the building which is one of the seventh Hammam khana
still existing in ruins in the heritage of Bangladesh.
15. A water tank
A square shaped water tank (71.63m on each side) is placed to the east of
the Diwan-i-Aam. There are four corner stairs to descend into the tank.
16. Tomb of bibi pari
The tomb of Bibi Pari, the daughter of Shaista Khan, is in the
middle of the complex. There is a central square room. It
contains the remains of Bibi Pari by a false octagonal dome
and wrapped by brass plate. The entire covered inner wall is
covered with white marble. Eight rooms surround the central
one. There is another small grave in the southeastern corner
room.
17. Lalbagh Fort mosque
A refined Mughal provincial style was developed in the capital city of
Dhaka in the 17th century. The Lalbagh Shahi Mosque in Dhaka dated
1649 and 1780 conforms to the typical Mughal mosque plan. Located
inside the fort, closest to the river, it was probably the earliest building on
the site.
18. STORIES
From the time of construction till date, various myths have revolved around
the fort. Among all the historical stories and debates, it is widely believed
that Lalbagh Fort stands as a monument of the unfulfilled dreams of
Prince Muhammad Azam, beloved son of Emperor Aurangzeb. In the mid
17th century, he was serving as the Viceroy of Bengal and began the
construction of the impressive Lalbagh Fort complex.
19. STORIES
Therefore, the popular stories about the fort begin. Before the construction
was finished, Prince Azam was called back to his father, to assist in the
war against the Marathas. Legend says after the Mughal prince departed,
Shaista Khan continued with building the project, but upon the untimely
death of his much-loved daughter Iran-Dukht, warmly known as Pari Bibi,
the construction was stopped. Bibi was engaged to Prince Azam at the
time of her death.
20. MYTH ABOUT LALBAGH
One of the known haunted stories of Lalbagh fort is the ghost of a man on
his horse. A number of people witnessed this spirit going into the Fort and
getting out again in the night. They say this ghost actually going for his
prayer. Many of them witnessed the sound of prayer at the time when they
saw the horseman's ghost. Usually prayer time starts 5 a.m. When they
saw the ghost and heard the prayer in 3 a.m. they rushed to see it in the
prayer room, but every time they reached it is empty with a blood chilling
sensation.
21. MYTH ABOUT LALBAGH
In other rumours are there that there is a hidden passageway to Agra
(Presently in India) from this fort. But no one didn't find It still now. But
local legends are whoever found this and entered never returned
anymore. However the doorways that claimed to have connected to Agra
is sealed by the British government. This is after when a mystical
occurrence happened to an investigation team. The team was searching
for the end of the hidden passageway with their dogs chained by the team
members. First they sent their dogs to enter the dark passage but when
they pulled their chain there was only the chain. The British Govt. sent
some other elephants like elephants to in this passageway (surongo path)
but according to legends none of them never returned from the cave.
