Younger Emiratis are struggling to communicate in the traditional Emirati dialect due to language shift towards English in international schools and limited daily use of the dialect. The UAE government recognizes this as an issue and has introduced efforts like the National Identity Mark for schools and declarations on the importance of Arabic. However, technology and social media that contribute to the problem can also play a vital role in overcoming communication barriers if utilized to enhance Arabic language skills and motivate learning among young people comfortable with digital platforms.
