تقيوء الدم يكون غالبا دم طازج احمر او متغير مائلا للسواد كنتيجة نزف للدم من اعلى الجهاز الهضمي (المرئ ,المعدة وبداية الاثنى عشر ) وله #اسباب_كثيرة من اشهرها الناتج عن :
1-نزف دوالي المرئ والمعدة
2-التهاب وقرحة المعدة والاثنى عشر
3-التهاب المرئ وارتجاع المرئ
4-وجود اورام سرطانية في المرئ او المعدة او الاثنى عشر
5-اعتلال الية تخثر الدم او التناول غير المنضبط لمثبطات تخثر الدم (الاسبرين)
6-الافراط في تناول مسكنات الالم
كيفية التصرف #في_المنزل
1- الحفاظ على الثبات الانفعالي للتركيز في الامر والتصرف بحكمة
2- عدم اعطاء المريض اي شئ عن طريق الفم
3- الحفاظ على وضع المريض شبه جالس
4- التوجه الى اقرب مستشفى به طوارئ في اسرع وقت

1- تركيب مدخلين وريديين (كانيولا) وسحب عينة دم لعمل صورة دم وووظائف كبد وكلى وسيولة
2- تركيب انبوب معدة (رايل) لتقييم كمية النزف وغسل المعدة
3- متابعة الوظائف الحيوية كل 15 دقيقة ولمدة ساعتين على الاقل
4- اعطاء محاليل وريدية (ودم مكدس حسب الحاجة)
5- استدعاء طبيب جهاز هضمي متخصص في اسرع وقت
يتم تقييم حالة المريض من بسيطة الى متوسطة او حرجة ,ويتم متابعته لفترة من الوقت او حجزه بالعناية المركزة او القسم الداخلي ., وفي حالة الحجز يتم تحضير المريض لعمل منظار جهاز هضمي علوي في اسرع وقت (خلال 12 ساعة)بعد استقرار حالته اولا او عمل المنظار اذا استمر النزف رغم اعطاء المحاليل والدم المكدس والادوية المناسبة

3. • Think before you start a piece of work.
• Never work alone.
• Wear the proper protective equipment.
• Keep your workplace tidy
4. • Never put anything into your mouth
• NO eating, drinking, smoking, or applying cosmetics in
labs
• Tie back long hair.
• Roll up loose sleeves
• During lab work, keep your hands away from your face.
• Never “horse around” or play practical jokes in the
laboratory.
5. • After handling chemicals, always wash your hands with
soap and water.
• Never do unauthorized experiments
• Do not leave an on-going experiment unattended
• Listen to or read instructions carefully before attempting
to do anything.
6. Know the location of the fire extinguisher, fire blanket, eyewash
station, and first aid kit
Clean up your lab area at the conclusion of the laboratory period.
Report all accidents, no matter how minor, to the supervisor
In case of an emergency where we have to evacuate, proceed out
the nearest exit.

7. Chipped or cracked glassware should not be used. Show it to the
supervisor
Broken glassware should not be disposed of in a classroom trashcan.
There is a special glass disposal container for it
When pouring liquids into glassware, make sure the container you are
pouring into is resting on a table at least a hand-breadth from the edge.
8. Pour down a glass stirring rod to prevent liquids from splattering
When inserting glass tubing into a rubber stopper, apply a lubricant to
the glass and use a twisting motion
Do not place hot glassware in water. Rapid cooling may make it shatter
9. Wear protective goggles and a lab apron
whenever heating or pouring hazardous

Never mix chemicals together unless you are
told to do so (and then only in the manner
specified).
• If you need to smell the odor of a chemical,
waft the fumes toward your nose with one
hand. Do not put your nose over the container
and inhale the fumes.
10. Never pour water into a concentrated acid. Acid should be poured
slowly into water.
Follow the instructions of your supervisor when disposing of all
chemicals
• When working with hazardous materials, have a second person nearby
• Check labels on containers twice to make sure you use the right
chemical and of the correct concentration.
11. • The most dangerous substance is the one that has no label.
• Never return chemicals to reagent bottles. (Try for the correct amount
and share any excess.)
• Never taste any chemicals (you should never taste anything in the lab).
Wash hands frequently (Wash your hands after handling hazardous
chemicals.)

13. When using the fume hood you first need to make sure the exhaust
blower is operating and air is entering the hood.
Remember, do not put your face inside the hood!
Minimize storage of chemicals in the hood
Clean spills immediately
Work with the sash at the proper operating level
14. Hazardous Waste- This is a waste which contains the characteristics of
being any of the following:
Toxic
Corrosive
Ignitable
Flammable
Oxidizer
15. Clean all spills immediately.
Dispose of chemicals in proper receptacle.
Ensure that no trash is left behind
No trash in the sinks
Dispose of waste and broken glassware in proper containers
16. Be sure your hands and your lab area are dry before using electrical
equipment
Lay electrical cords where no one can trip on them or get caught in
them
Never poke anything into electrical outlets.
17. • If water or a chemical is spilled onto equipment, shut off power at the
main switch and unplug the equipment
• If it is safe to do so, work with only one hand, keeping the other hand
at your side or in your pocket, away from all conductive material

19. Let burners and hotplates cool down before touching them. Test to see
if they are cool enough by bringing the back of your hand close to them
Use tongs and/or protective gloves to handle hot objects
Never reach across an open flame or burner
20. Use only the type of glassware that may safely be heated
Always point the top ends of glassware , that are being heated away
from people
When heating a glassware , move it around slowly over the flame to
distribute the heat evenly
Only glassware that is thoroughly dry should be heated
21. Heat glassware by placing it on a wire gauze platform on a ring-stand.
Do not hold it in your hand
When lighting a burner, wait until a match is struck or the striker is in
place before you turn on the gas
The amount of air can be adjusted by the air supply valve below the
tube of the burner. This regulates the flame temperature and color
• Never leave a burner or hotplate unattended.
• Beware of hot glass -it looks exactly like cold glass

23. Injury: Burns الحروق
To do: Immediately flush with cold water until
burning sensation is lessened.
24. Injury: Cuts, bruises جروحوكدمات
To do: Do not touch an open wound without safety
gloves. Pressing directly on minor cuts will stop
bleeding in a few minutes. Apply cold compress to
bruises to reduce swelling.
25. Injury: Fainting إغماء
To do: Provide fresh air and have the person recline so
that their head is lower than the rest of their body.
26. Injury: The eyes العين اصابات
To do: Flush eyes immediately with plenty of water for
several minutes. If a foreign object is lodged in the
eye, do not allow the eye to be rubbed.
27. Injury: Poisoning تسمم
To do: Find out what substance was responsible for
the poisoning and alert the supervisor immediately.
28. Injury: Spills on the skin على انسكابالجلد
To do: Flush with large quantities of water. For acid
spills apply baking soda solution. For base spills apply
vinegar or boric acid.
29. Injury: Electrical shock الكهربائية الصدمة
To do: Shut off the current at the source. Remove wire
with rubber gloves. Alert the supervisor immediately.
