6. Without goggles, your eyes could be injured by sharp objects or harmful substances. If safety aprons are not worn, your clothing will have no protection from chemicals that can burn or stain fabric. Consequences of Not Wearing Goggles and a Safety Apron:

7. Rule #3 Tie back long hair and loose clothing when working near an open flame.

8. Consequences of Loose Clothing and Long Hair: If you do not have your hair and clothing tied back, you are more likely to catch on fire.

9. Rule #4 Never directly inhale any vapor. To smell a substance, use your hand to wave some of the vapor to your nose.

10. Consequences of Directly Inhaling Substances: Some chemical fumes are extremely strong and could cause fainting, poisoning, or lung damage if inhaled too deeply.

11. Rule #5 Be familiar with the location and correct use of the fire extinguisher, fire alarm, fire blanket, safety shower, and first aid kit. If you know what to do in an emergency, you are less likely to panic .

12. Consequences of Panic in an Emergency: A delayed response in an emergency could cause serious injury to yourself and others. AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!
