Recommendation: Ms. Tracy MacIlroy
Dear Sir or Madam:
It is with pleasure I offer my recommend for Tracy MacIlroy.
Ms. MacIlroy worked as my Executive assistant and Office Manager in my role as the Executive
Director and CEO of the Buffalo Trail Council Boy Scouts of America. In this role her
responsibilities included:
! Board interaction
! Board meeting preparations, notifications, and follow-up.
! Board minutes
! Oversight of retention schedule with special emphasis on permanent retention items.
! Management of office team including hiring, disciplinary action if needed, scheduling,
oversight of daily tasks within a high-paced office environment, ensuring daily cash sales
were properly monitored and recorded within internal controls requirements.
Tracy was never an employee that required more than minimal oversight by management. She was
a loyal and trusted employee; she had a strong work ethic with exemplar attendance. It was a sad
day when she left to pursue another venture and only at a time when she knew I would be leaving
also. If given an opportunity I would hire her on the spot for any position I had she was qualified
for, or if necessary I would create one if another were not available. I was never disappointed in the
decision to hire her.
• She is prompt to every meeting and comes well prepared
• She completes assignments given from meetings in advance of the deadlines given.
• She is well liked by her peers and volunteers she interacts with.
• She handles herself professionally from her attire, mannerisms, attention to detail, and
meeting deadlines.
• She has learned new software and work responsibilities with limited training, mostly
through asking questions, reading handbooks, and just doing.
• She is always willing to help other team members when asked.
