FOR 3 TO 4 HOURS. LATER THE STICKY SHEATH AT THE
INNER SIDE OF THE SHELL IS REMOVED AND DRIED UNDER
SUN. THESE DRY SHELLS ARE LATER STORED AS ‘ŚUDDHA
KUKKUTÄNDA TWAK’ FOR FURTHER PHARMACEUTICAL USE
12. मारण- THE DRY ‘SUDDHA KUKKUTÄNDA TWAK’ IS TAKEN
IN A CLEAN KHALVA YANTRA. IT IS ADDED WITH ‘CANGERI
SWARASA’ OR ‘GHRTAKUMĀRĪ SWARASA’ AND
THOR- OUGHLY TO PREPARE ‘CAKRIKĀS’ OF EVEN SIZE
AND SHAPE.
13. THE CAKRIKĀS ARE DRIED UNDER SUN, ENCLOSED IN
‘SARĀVA SAMPUTA’ AND SUBJECTED FOR ONE LAGHU
PUTA (USING 8 TO 10 DRY COW DUNG CAKES). WHEN
SELF-COOL THE WHITE COLOURED SMOOTH AND SOFT
‘KUKKUTÄNDA TWAK BHASMA’ IS COLLECTED AND
STORED IN SUITABLE CONTAINER.

15. गुणधमम- ITS USE STRENGTHENS THE BONES. IT IS USED IN
GROWING CHILDREN, LACTATING MOTHER AND OLD
AGED PERSONS WHO REQUIRE ADDITIONAL CALCIUM. IT
IS ‘HRDYA’ (CARDIO- TONIC) AND IS GOOD FOR
DIGESTIVE SYSTEM. IT MITIGATES VITIATED KAPHA AND
VĀTA DOSA. ITS REGULAR USE IMPROVES THE BODY
MASS, IT IS APHRODISIAC AND STRENGTHENS THE
CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM.

GENERAL DOSAGE OF ‘KUKKUTÄNDA TWAK BHASMA’. IT IS
ADMINISTERED ALONG WITH HONEY, BUTTER, SUGAR,
CREAM OR ANY OTHER SUITABLE ADJUVANT.
