In the world of fast changing technologies and business requirements there is no way to stay with old-school approaches to develop software. Common, leave manual interaction behind, let machine do what it's best capable for and spend your time to solve real problems. During this talk I'm going to demonstrate how to build a sophisticated continuous development pipeline for Java based project to cover things like build, test, code quality, deploy and delivery using Gradle, Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker and Ansible. As an outcome of this presentation there will be an open source project with source code.

Automation has bing a demanding field with the growth of the aoganization. This presentation includes mind mapping series of slides in path of quality asspect for developers
Presentation delivered at LinuxCon China 2017.
Operating systems need to move faster without sacrificing stability. New hardware, new software features, and bugfixes are making it into distribution components every day. To maintain stability, packagers and distribution developers are looking toward lessons learned in the DevOps movement to implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) workflows that provide quicker test feedback to developers.
This talk highlights some of the coming trends in Fedora such as: streamlined base package sets, userspace applications delivered as containers, continuous validation of individual distro components and the distro as a whole, and collaboration with the CentOS Project.

During the EDD US in March I gave a outlook on what parts of our QA infrastructure needs to get improved. Most noteworthy mandatory test cases for new API's, jenkins builds for incoming patches as phab differentials and an increasing use of exactness for testing changes on an UI level. This talk will give a status report of these ongoing changes. What have been done and what got stuck and what is still ongoing.

Distrowatch.com currently list over 300 publicly available Linux distributions. Volunteers make most of them. How it’s possible that they don’t explode into our faces on a regular basis? I had pleasure to share some of my thoughts on the topic during Testwarez 2018.
There are slides (probably with little fixes) from this conference. Please note that some of them won't make sense without context (presentation itself).
Test Driven Development, or TDD, is the mainstream in many areas of software development, but what about the database? In this session, we explore TDD, the benefits of automated testing, and how testing data projects differs from other types of development. We introduce the tSQLt testing framework and demonstrate its use with a live coding example. Finally, we will discuss some lessons learned in doing TDD with SQL Server.

zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
