2-Entrance
What it is threshold in cloth shop?
The threshold area, also known as the "decompression zone", is the very first space that
prospective customers step into when they enter your store and typically consists of the first five
to fifteen feet worth of space, depending on how big your store is. It's also the space where your
customers make the transition from the outside world and first experience what you have to offer.
They also make critical judgements like how cheap or expensive your store is likely to be and how
well coordinated your lighting, fixtures, displays, and colors are. Since they're in a transition mode,
customers are more likely to miss any product, signage, or carts you place there.

10. Sidewalls: Next stop is likely the inside
wall to the right of the entrance. In western
cultures we tend to move to the right of an
obstacle. Continue with the medium-priced
product, perhaps a secondary promotion.
You could also expand with like-product or
similar branded items from the front focal
presentation.
Back of Store: The back of the store
should be reserved for high-demand as
well as higher-priced items. This makes
your guest walk the entire store to get to
the good stuff – whether it is a sale zone or
your high-ticket merchandise. Make sure
this area is visible from the front. Display
add-on and impulse items here as well to
help with your multiple sales.

12. Other tips to keep in mind when designing
your checkout counter are:
Have a counter that's big enough for
shoppers to place their bags and/or
personal belongings
Take advantage of the wall behind the
counter to create interesting and engaging
displays
Encourage impulse or "last-minute"
purchases by stocking items customers
crave or commonly need close-by
Be polite in person by asking questions
like "Were you able to find everything you
were looking for?" and in signage
regarding your exchange or refund policies

4-Dressing rooms
Create a comfortable dressing room
area that has its own central seating
area for customers. A large dressing
room area not only makes it easier
for clients to get their friends'
opinions on the clothes they are
considering, it makes it easier to
monitor customer activity and reduce
theft.

48. Lighting
Lighting is key component in emphasizing your product and promotional displays
When setting your promotion display tables or walls follow a theme with
your items, remember the following for organization and arrangement:
Light to Dark
Left to Right
Small to Large
When placing tables make a positive impact with your
walls. Don’t hide the walls. Instead use your table
displays to draw the eye and focus the attention on
the wall behind.
we can see your walls but is there a technique for placing product here?
Yep – light to dark, small to large, left to right. You can achieve this
horizontally or vertically
LED light strip
48
49. Use spotlights on clothing displays and mannequins to make the items for sale
stand out. Try to use softer lighting for the rest of your store to make browsing
easier for clients. If you have a shiny, light colored floor, then intense overhead
lights will create a glare. Indirect lighting is a system that provides ambient light
without shining the beams directly at the subject
