2. Introduction
Orthosiphon spp.is a medicinal plant be in
the form of wet trunked and erect.
It has another name like kidney
teaplants/java tea (english), giri-giri marah
(Sumatera), remujung (Central Java
andEast Java) and songot koneng
(Madura).
The origin of this plant is from tropical of
Africa, then spread to Asia and Australia.

◦ Family : Lamiaceae
◦ Genus : Orthosiphon

4. Bioactive Compound
The bioactive compound in kidney tea plant
are sinensetin, flavonoid, 2-flavonol
glycoside, tannic, saponin, potassium salt,
organic acids, tanin, and atsiri oil 0,1%.
Flavonoid compounds and 2-flavonoid

and stored under 30oC.
