Inspection Section
Job Description:
1- Manages and coordinates all Inspection activities in Poly Olefin plant within
the inspection section and with the other departments.
2- Inform and advise the general condition of the plant equipment, which are
within Inspections domain of competence. Anticipates remaining service life
and or repairs to QAPCO equipment and recommends technical solutions.
3- Prepare the inspection planning / duration of the static equipment and piping in
Qapco plants according to French Regulation and API Standards.
4- Review and analyses all inspection reports submitted by inspectors and senior
inspectors and prepare comments and inspection recommendations
depending on nature of inspection findings.
5- Participate with Maint. And Production in the investigation and solving of
problems encountered in the plant and technically advice to solve it to increase
plant mechanical integrity.
6- Schedule all periodic shutdowns and recommend shutdowns when necessary
schedule, and supervise necessary inspection work advising Maint. Dept. of
detail technical requirements.
7- Prepare technical specifications and requirements for external inspection work
services required by QAPCO and participate in the review and evaluation of
bids for inspection work according to specifications.
8- Attend meetings and participate solving technical problems in cooperation with
Maint. And production.
9- Using updated inspection techniques to carry out inspection activities in Poly
Olefin Plant.
10- Review all inspection technical issues with Engineering section for all the new
projects
11- Review WPS / PQR and welder qualification procedures, witness these tests,
interprets radiographic examination results, accept/reject results according to
standards/company requirements and sign acceptance certificates.
12- Preparing technical inspection reports to support the plant integrity by using

and API 579.
13- By using DNVGL software ( Galiom ) , prepare all static equipment data for
using Risk based inspection which will change inspection strategy from time
base, condition base to be Risk Based inspection.
14- Enforce strict compliance to industry codes and standards related to integrity
inspection performed by AIMD. Review major inspection findings and provide
engineering support to enhance overall AIMD Quality and reputation. Ensure
that inspection reports are issued with desired quality and comprehension and
to expected accuracy.
15- Implement cost saving activities as per section‘s cost saving plan and
managing the sectional operation cost with due diligent.
16- Ensure assigned all engineering tasks and related activities meet corporate
safety and environmental policy and standards in order to minimize risk of
industrial injuries and un-wanted incidents.
17- Lead and advice operation on full life cycle asset integrity engineering of all
static equipment in Poly Olefin Plant.

Job Description:
Vibration Engineer for all types of machines of GUPCO Gas Plant at Ras
Shukair, Egypt. The Gas Plant contains turbines, gas compressors, generators,
Turbo-expanders , pumps, Electrical motors, gas oil coolers, gas and diesel
generators and air coolers. The job duties are as follows:
1- Prepare vibration survey schedule for all rotating equipment in the Gas
Plant and its Satellite Stations.
2- Determine the vibration monitoring points for every machine.
2- Diagnose all vibration problems.
3- Prepare abnormal vibration reports for all vibration problems.
4- Use updated vibration instruments in collecting data and diagnoses vibration
problems.
5- Use different vibration instruments for surveying such as : IRD, B&K, Bently
Nevada and Scientific Atlanta such as the following:

• B&K TAPE RECORDER 7100
• Scientific Atlanta Analyzer

4. 6- Execute field balancing.
Project Engineer: Execution of different projects in the Gas Plant such as:
• The installation of new Desalination Unit as per the following steps
1. Prepare estimate cost for the project.
2. Prepare quotation for the new units.
3. Receive the offers and compare between them to choose the best
offer.
4. Order the chosen offer after management approval.
5. Review vendor drawings & send comments to finalize the drawing to
be issued for fabrication.
6. Prepare piping isometric for the new unit with the existing piping
system.
7. Prepare the material list required for the project.
8. check the availability of material in the warehouse and order the
material which is not available from local market or abroad.
9. prepare time schedule for the project.
10. Supervise the different stages of the project.
• The study of the efficiency for the fire fighting system of the Gas Plant:
1. Check the amount of firewater and see if it is enough in case of fire.
2. If needed recommendations for additional pumps are recommended.
Fiberglass piping is recommended since seawater is used.
3. Prepare isometric drawings for the project and estimated cost.
4. Receive support from ENPPI for the proposed project.
5. Same steps are followed afterwards as mentioned in the previous
project.
