Technical change and market fluctuations are uncertainties,
which serve as constraints to human resource planning

Planning is generally undertaken to improve overall efficiency,In the
name of cost cutting this may ultimately help management weed out
unwanted labour at various levels
4. Numbers game:-
In some companies human resource planning is used as a numbers
game. There is too much focus on the quantitative aspect to ensure the
flow of people in and out the organisation
ployee Resistance :- Employees and trade unions feel tht due to widespread unemployment.people
will be available for jobs and when required
mployers Resistance:- Employers may also resist human resource planning feeling that it increases
the cost of manpower
ck of purpose:-Managers and human resource specialists do not fully understand human planning
process and lack a strong sense of purpose
me and expenses:-Manpower planning is a time consuming and expensive exercise A good deal of
time and cost are involved in data collection and forecasting.
Objectives of IHR planning

. The information obtained through hrp is highly important for
identifying surplus and utilisation human resource
2. Effective utilisation of human resource:-
. Planning for the human resource is the min responsibility of
management to ensure effective utilisation of person and future
manpower
3. Economic development:-
At national level manpower planning is required for economic
development. It is particularly helpful in the creating employment.
4. Analyse current workforce:-
HRP volunteers to assist in analysing the competency of present
workforce. It order mines the current workforce strengths and abilities.
Futures of HR planning
It is future oriented:-Human resource planning is prepared to assess the
future requirements of manpower in the organisation.
It is a continuous process:- Human resource planning is a continuous
process. The human resource planning prepared today may not be applicable
for future due to ever changing external forces of the environment
Itresults inoptimum utilisationof human resource
Human resource planning focuses on optimum utilisation It checks how the
employees are utilized in a productive manner
Conclusion
Human resource planning is essential to any company. It helps
companies to address employee deficit or challenges before such
problems emerge and with a good understanding of process firms can
