This document discusses patron-driven acquisitions (PDA) of ebooks. PDA allows libraries to offer users access to a wide range of ebook content while only paying for titles that see meaningful usage. The key benefits are improved access and discovery of content for users, while helping libraries better target collection expenditures. Libraries must carefully consider the financial implications of PDA and implement mediation strategies to control costs over time as demand for ebooks grows. User behavior and needs, along with metadata quality, influence the success of PDA programs.

But how can you be sure the media you use is authoritative enough to cite in court documents?
A new generation of library resource sharing solutions is helping libraries transform legacy ILL practices and systems. Solutions such as Project Reshare, RapidILL from Ex Libris and Tipasa from OCLC are helping to build peer-to-peer resource sharing communities such as the N8+, improve the user experience and reduce costs and complexity. They are also challenging assumptions about library collections and the value of big deals, helping to drive forward a more open and equitable research environment.

At checkout time, the items in the e-library will be presented as an order. At that time, more information will be needed to complete the request. Usually, the customer will be asked to fill online form. An e- mail notification is sent to the customer as soon as the order is placed.
This project intends different types of forms with many types of books like story, drama, romance, history, adventures, etc. it can manage studying of books online, customers can choose many types of books categories, etc. Here, the user may select desired book and view its price. The user may even search for specific books on the website. Once the user selects a book, he then has to fill in a form and the book is provided for the user.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. This was not only technically challenging but also led directly to financially unsustainable levels of usage metadata – librarians’ views So far the key metadata elements have been identifiers (e.g. isbn) that allow us to match and de-dupe.
