 Led the operational planning for the YST PE Team, which involved identifying areas for development to support
the YST’s strategic plan, budget profiling and project planning.
 Initiated and piloted cross departmental work for programmes to ensure effective implementation and cost saving
measures.
 Developed and led innovative solutions to a National group of schools in piloting assessment without levels and
the 2014 National Curriculum in PE a year early, in order to effectively support the profession.
 Supported the development and pilot and review of a National programme, designed to address and develop
physical literacy in 4 – 7 year old children.
 Initiated and led the YST Secondary Strategic Group, focussing on issues and solutions to support PE within
secondary schools.

 Programme managed three corporate programmes, with challenging KPIs, in each case achieving beyond the
targets set in a challenging educational and delivery climate.
 Managed three project teams, including members from Project Support, Membership and Regional Development
Managers to ensure the programmes were delivered on time and on budget.

Supporting the local community
I am a Parent Governor at the local village first and middle school, where I am Vice Chair of the Teaching and Learning
Committee. I am also on the committee for Pinvin Community Pre School, a charitable organisation, which my youngest
son attends. I also volunteer at the Pre School teaching physical literacy to the children for one morning a week.
Sports and hobbies
Have always loved sport and keeping fit, and maintain a high level of fitness. I am a L2 artistic gymnastics coach and I
previously set up a community British Gymnastics affiliated club. I have also played hockey for a local club and captained
the ladies first team for a number of seasons. Now I regularly attend the gym and run.
