people are aware of various Prakalpas like K.P. and so on.
 Many of the participants said ‘the scheme is upto collage level, M.A level also.
K.P is long process because this scheme works at the level of secondary, higher secondary
and collage level, M.A level.
So it is clear that the process (K.P) of getting money is always fast and hackles free, the
process (K.P) of getting money is easy and transparent. Money comes directly into bank
account. Student, teachers, parents are feeling happy for K.P because money given by K.P

help students in their studies. So it is evident that more students are enjoying this scheme and
this scheme involves large sections. The money helps students in their study. And people are
aware of this scheme because it helps in the development of girl child in their higher studies.
They are benefitted from this scheme. Those students whose family income is 36000-40000
per annum those families really need K.P money.
Weakness
 Most of the participants told, ‘the money is not sufficient’. It should be increased.
 Bengai Girls School’s participants said, ‘the amount is sufficient for those students whose
family income is stable, this amount is not sufficient for those who are under hard
poverty.’ Now the price of the reference books is very high. With this money they are
unable to buy various books or other educational instruments to make good result.
 Kanyashree has not been introduced in primary school level and PhD level.
If this scheme exists in primary and PhD level it would be better and our chief Minister
Mamata Banerjee can think of it.
So it is clear that this money is not sufficient for those students whose family income is very
poor and Kanyashree has not been introduced in primary level.
Opportunity
 Most of the participants said, ‘yes the scholarship programme encourages the girls or
their parents for continuing their study’. But on the other hand the money enhances the
greed of the student of their parents. They want to spend this money for their relaxation.
So this money is not actually spent for the education.
 One of the participants said, ‘the scholarship program encourages other girls and parents
a lot for continuing their study’. The scheme helps parents to support their daughter in
higher studies and now they can buy study material which is needed for their daughter.
 Most of the participants said, ‘yes the K.P increases the attendance of the students in the
school than before’.
 Other participants said, ‘K.P increases the attendance of the girl students in the school’.
Earlier students get married at early age’. As this scheme cannot be taken by the married

ones therefore parents are not forcing their daughters to get married for getting the
amount of money under this scheme.
 Most of the participants said, ‘yes K.P can establish equity in the society’. Most of the
backward families have proceeded to educate their daughters. Now they cannot think
their daughter as burden.
 Some other participants said, ‘definitely this scheme helps in establishing equity in
society’. K.P helps in the development of society where daughters from the poor families
get chance of education and subsequently find a better job. In this way they will be
uplifted in social status.
 Many participants said,’ yes K.P has created positive attitude towards the Gov’.
 It also has created positive attitude towards the school also. This money helps students to
buy their study materials.
 Most of the participants said, ‘yes K.P helps in eliminating early marriage and premature
conception’. Now the parents of the students have become conscious of their daughters
They do not want their daughter to get married at their early age and their premature
conception of early marriage is removed from their mind .As they can get economical support
they want to educate their daughters. If daughters are highly qualified then they can be self
sufficient. The light of education can brighten their future so this is always helpful and
fruitful for all. So it is clear that these scholarship programs encourage the girls or parents a
lot for continuing their education and increases the attendance of girls’ student in the school
for study, helps in establishing equity in society and it can be seen that K.P has created
positive attitude towards the government. K.P helps in eliminating early marriage and
premature conception’.
Threats
 Many participants said ‘the money really cannot help the students for educational
purpose because most of the students spend money for other purpose such as they can buy
mobile phone, fashionable dresses and so on with the money’.
 Other participants said they did not spend the money for educational purpose but for other
relaxations also.

 One participant said ‘yes the scholarship programme has created discrimination in the
family or negative attitude of the boys towards girls’.
 Many participants said ‘no, scholarship programme does not create any discrimination in
the family but it helps in creating negative attitude of the boys towards the girls’. The
boys think that they are deprived of the priority. They are hoping to have the money like
the girls. Not for having scholarship programme, they are mentally offended or disturbed.
 So it is clear that students spend the money for other purposes other than educational
purpose and the scholarship programme has created discrimination in the family or
negative attitude of the boys towards girls’.

Ghara & Roy (July 2017) worked on “Impact of Kanyashree Prakalpa-districtwise analysis”. To ensure an equity focus, the scheme is open only to girls from families below a certain income ceiling. For girls with special needs, orphans and for girls currently residing in registered Juvenile Justice Homes, this criterion is waived. They are used survey method in this study. Introduction: SWOT Analysis is a strategic planning method used to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats involved in a project or in a business venture. It involve specifying the objective of the business venture or project and identifying the internal and external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to achieving that objective. The technique is credited to Albert Humphrey, who led a researcher project at Stanford University in the 1960s and 1970s using the data from fortune 500 companies. The SWOT analysis is often used in academia to highlight and identify strength, weakness, opportunities and threats. It is particularly helpful in identifying areas for development. STRENGTH WEAKNESS Opportunities S-O strategies W-O strategies Threats S-T strategies W- T strategies  S-O strategies pursue opportunities that are a good fit to the strengths.  W-O strategies overcome weaknesses to pursue opportunities.  S-T strategies identify ways that the firm can use its strength to reduce its vulnerability to external threats.  W-T strategies establish a defensive plan to prevent the firm’s weaknesses from making it highly susceptible to external threats. Strength  Researcher had taken interview of the participants and many participants said, ‘the process of getting money fast is always hackle free’.  Most of the participants said, ‘the process of getting money is easy and transparent’. The money comes directly into bank accounts of the beneficiaries’.  One participant said, ‘the process of getting money is more or less transparent’. Sometimes the money did not credit into the account if her wrong information was given.

They will be able to buy reference books, educational materials and so on for the purpose of education. Besides, this scholarship reduces the financial hardship of parents and student also. So they all are happy for the scheme.  One participant said, ‘student, teachers, parents feel satisfied’. They all are happy. The scheme helps parents to support their daughter in higher studies and now they can buy study material which is needed for their daughter.  Most of the participants said, ‘the money really helps the students to meet education Purpose’. This money helps students to buy their study materials.  Most of the participants said, ‘there are 100 girls in their school and 90% of them are enjoying the scheme’.  The participant said, ‘yes the scheme involves a large section’. This scheme is available from class ix to M.A level because of that a large number of students are benefitted from this. In post graduation level if any other level if any other government scholarship is availed by the student then it is not applicable.  Many participants said, ‘the average family income of many girl students is Rs. 36000- 40000 per annum’. Yes they really need the money. Kamarpukur Nayantara Balika Vidyalaya’s participants said, ‘the teachers will have to know the family income of the student and on the basis of it teachers will decide which student really needs the money’.  Most of the participants said, ‘the people are aware about the scheme’.  One participant told, ‘this is the age of science’. Through different Media sources now people are aware of various Prakalpas like K.P. and so on.  Many of the participants said ‘the scheme is upto collage level, M.A level also. K.P is long process because this scheme works at the level of secondary, higher secondary and collage level, M.A level. So it is evident that more students are enjoying this scheme and this scheme involves large sections. The money helps students in their study. And people are aware of this scheme because it helps in the development of girl child in their higher studies. They are benefitted from this scheme. Those students whose family income is 36000-40000 per annum those families really need K.P money. Weakness  Most of the participants told, ‘the money is not sufficient’. It should be increased.  Bengai Girls School’s participants said, ‘the amount is sufficient for those students whose family income is stable, this amount is not sufficient for those who are under hard poverty.’ Now the price of the reference books is very high. With this money they are unable to buy various books or other educational instruments to make good result.  Kanyashree has not been introduced in primary school level and PhD level. If this scheme exists in primary and PhD level it would be better and our chief Minister Mamata Banerjee can think of it. So it is clear that this money is not sufficient for those students whose family income is very poor and Kanyashree has not been introduced in primary level. Opportunity  Most of the participants said, ‘yes the scholarship programme encourages the girls or their parents for continuing their study’. But on the other hand the money enhances the greed of the student of their parents. They want to spend this money for their relaxation. So this money is not actually spent for the education.  One of the participants said, ‘the scholarship program encourages other girls and parents a lot for continuing their study’. The scheme helps parents to support their daughter in higher studies and now they can buy study material which is needed for their daughter.  Most of the participants said, ‘yes the K.P increases the attendance of the students in the school than before’.  Other participants said, ‘K.P increases the attendance of the girl students in the school’. Most of the backward families have proceeded to educate their daughters. Now they cannot think their daughter as burden.  Some other participants said, ‘definitely this scheme helps in establishing equity in society’. K.P helps in the development of society where daughters from the poor families get chance of education and subsequently find a better job. In this way they will be uplifted in social status.  Many participants said,’ yes K.P has created positive attitude towards the Gov’.  It also has created positive attitude towards the school also. This money helps students to buy their study materials.  Most of the participants said, ‘yes K.P helps in eliminating early marriage and premature conception’. Now the parents of the students have become conscious of their daughters They do not want their daughter to get married at their early age and their premature conception of early marriage is removed from their mind .As they can get economical support they want to educate their daughters. If daughters are highly qualified then they can be self sufficient. The light of education can brighten their future so this is always helpful and fruitful for all. So it is clear that these scholarship programs encourage the girls or parents a lot for continuing their education and increases the attendance of girls’ student in the school for study, helps in establishing equity in society and it can be seen that K.P has created positive attitude towards the government. K.P helps in eliminating early marriage and premature conception’. Threats  Many participants said ‘the money really cannot help the students for educational purpose because most of the students spend money for other purpose such as they can buy mobile phone, fashionable dresses and so on with the money’.  Other participants said they did not spend the money for educational purpose but for other relaxations also.

The boys think that they are deprived of the priority. They are hoping to have the money like the girls. Not for having scholarship programme, they are mentally offended or disturbed.  So it is clear that students spend the money for other purposes other than educational purpose and the scholarship programme has created discrimination in the family or negative attitude of the boys towards girls’.
