Arrange marriages are traditional in the Indian subcontinent.
Parents and other relatives decide on a life partner that they deem
suitable for their child .
85 % Indians prefer arrange marriage.
Arranged marriage in modern times has changed its way by the new
tools like marriage websites.

Research design
Descriptive research: - It includes surveys and fact, finding
enquires of different kinds.
Sample Size
It is true that it is very difficult to do research with whole universe.
So for this purpose sample size has to be determined well in advanced and selection
of the sample also has to be scientific so that it represents the whole universe. So far
as this research is concerned, the sample size is 85.

Respondents who were approached were educated young population.
Area of data collection
Data was collected from Bikaner city.

Primary data : -The data which are collected for the first time ,directly from
the respondents.
Secondary data : - When data is collected and compiled in a published
nature.
9. When asked about what people think about arrange marriages most of respondents
said that arrange marriage is okay (42%) that means they neither consider it good nor
bad. And a considerable percentage (33.3%) of people also say that arrange
marriages are good.
10. Most of respondents when asked what they would prefer most of the people preferred
arrange marriage (56.7 %).
The choice here done by the respondents and choosing arrange marriage truly
reflects the Indian thinking of youth.
11. Most of the respondents thinks parents plays the main role of arrange marriage. And
second highest percentage of respondents say that relatives do the main role of
arranging.
12. Most of the respondents (39.7) thinks parental choice is the reason behind choosing arrange
marriage if they choose it over love marriages.
Second reason chosen is “an easy option.”
13. LIMITATIONS
•Few people were selected which are not sufficient to universalize the
study.
•People not interested to fill questionnaire.
•Respondents hesitant to reveal true facts.
•Biasness in choosing respondents.
14. Conclusion
At the end of the day it all depends on how as an individual think of
marriage like in the survey we found out thoughts of respondents
about arrange marriages like Arrange marriage is an successful one,’’
100% Continuity,’ as well as views like ‘It's better to be killed by
someone of your own choice’ so it is hard to make an opinion about
what is more preferred.
But in a country like India which is the perfect example of a society
where arranged marriages happen it will not be too much to say that
people still like to do arrange marriages more as compared to other
options.
