Kalmar2 is a collaboration that allows single sign-on access to web resources across universities in Nordic countries. It interconnects the authentication systems of national research networks using the SAML2 standard. Kalmar2 is the first large-scale international cross-federation for the academic community and supports multiple federation architectures. It provides users access to e-learning, collaboration, and eScience services from any participating Nordic university using their local username and password.
