Client Description:
Japan Tobacco International (JTI) is the international tobacco division of Japan Tobacco
Inc., the third largest global tobacco company. JTI has Application and production
environment of more than 3000 servers.
Role:
Wintel & VMware Administrator L2
Responsibilities:
 We have 450 servers in that 60% of the servers are VMs and which is managed by
vCenter server and operations as well as HP and cisco servers
 Installation of windows server 20082008R22012 and 2012 R2 Operating systems
with the necessary settings using iLOnetwork (WDS technologies) installations.
 Responsible for monitoring server health status and veeam alerts via Microsoft’s –
System Center Operations Manager Tool.
 Preparing monthly/weekly reports for ESX Availability, Data store utilization and
ESX, VM inventory reports.
 Preparing monthly/weekly reports for server performance and availability report from
SCOM.
 Troubleshooting and resolving incidents for the windows related issues.
 Analyze and update the VMtools and disk extension. C: drive disk cleanup.
 Created technical documentation on specific incidents and operational works that
were referred in day-to-day activities.
VMware:
 Installing, configuring and maintaining ESX 5.5i, using vSphere client and vSphere
web.
 Patch management using VMware update manager for ESXi server.

monitoring its high availability.
 Handling the disk space usage PSOD and unexpected server reboot, rebuilding the
WMI troubleshooting issues related to cluster server side and OS.
 Security patching for servers and planned outage applying the hotfixes is needed as
per Microsoft recommendation.
 Conducting timely and effective actions for the Incidents, Change Request &
Problem records.
 Contacting VMware and Microsoft, HP, Cisco support Teams for server related critical
issues.
