The Chagrin Falls Intermediate School has a long history, beginning as the Asbury Seminary in 1843. As the population of Chagrin Falls grew, the school underwent several changes and expansions. It was converted to Chagrin Falls High School in 1858. A new school was built next door in 1886, and was later expanded in 1892. Additional schools were built in 1909 and 1914 to accommodate increasing student populations. The current intermediate school building has been in use for middle schoolers since 1959.
