WHO WE ARE
Subsequent to their involvement in a series of brand engagement initiatives two driven individuals,
driven, self-disciplined experienced individuals came together to form a creative brand building
institution.
A Setswana word “Kago” meaning the act of building was the basis on which Kago the Brand was
formed. Kago the Brand is an experiential marketing organisation that leverages on the power of
staged occurrences to build brands. Registered as Kago Events and Communications registration no:
2010/039128/23 under the companies acts of South Africa.
We are committed to developing strategic plans, creative and experiential programs, which connect
brands to their main market targets through engaging experiences and content ensuring value for
money, uniqueness and added value to the brand and the customer.
We aim to develop fresh and original concepts and communication solutions that enable brands to
communicate effectively with the main and student markets.

The Brief: Launch Lesedi Technology Solutions, a B2B brand into the market as the “flawless
workspaces” company.
SOME OF OUR WORK
We developed a steadfast brand that has its hallmarks in excellent customer
service we then interpreted it into corporate identity and go-to-market strategy
that saw Lesedi adding astronomical value in the launch month.

The Brief: Develop a brand a brand that is in line with the firms desire to move from a small
firm to an ambitious ever-growing entity.
SOME OF OUR WORK
We developed a brand new legal brand for the firm which represent
professionalism, more pronounced and regal in character.

Client: Brand South Africa / Indigo Marketing
The Brief: Engage the public on the positive cultural aspects of South Africa
SOME OF OUR WORK
We collaborated with Indigo Marketing on conceptualising the campaign
activities. The people’s bus was a bus that travelled around the country
teaching tourists and the public about the positive aspects of South Africa.

Client: African National Congress- Chief Albert Luthuli Branch
The Brief: Raise Funding and Execute a Memorial Lecture in Line with the organisations
Centenary Celebrations of 2012
SOME OF OUR WORK
The brief was given to us nine days before the event was supposed to take place
we then used several directories to reach business people and senior political
figures known to be benevolent towards the African National Congress.
The promotion of the event was done simultaneously with the fundraising. The event
ultimately went ahead and the then Deputy Minister in the Presidency gave an
informative lecture on the life of Oliver Reginald Tambo.

Client: South African Tourism/Ogilvy Johannesburg
The Brief: Engage Students To Participate In The Diski Challenge/Project Management
SOME OF OUR WORK
We collaborated with Kasietainment Events & Projects we managed the
performers booking schedule and activation materials(e.g. costume, backing tracks).
The 2010 Diski Dance was advance that was meant to showcase the Rhythm of
South Africa during the world cup as part of the Fly the Flag campaign South
African Tourism-Diski Challenge.

Client: Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF)
The Brief: Engage Students To Participate In The Diski Challenge/Project Management
SOME OF OUR WORK
We distributed a total of 100 poster invitations to 100 sites which included
schools, hospitals, police stations and government buildings throughout the West
Rand District. With a footprint in Kagiso, Randfontein, Roodepoort, Krugersdorp
and surrounding areas over a period of 3 days.

LEADERSHIP
Chief Executive Officer: Obakeng Seageng: Obakeng has had a very fruitful and dynamic career
in the Higher Education, Information Technology and eventually Marketing Communication &
Public Relations which eventually led him to entrepreneurship. Throughout his journey Obakeng
has managed to acquire leadership, communication, creative concept development and project
management skills.
He initially started his career as a student advisor at Boston City Campus and Business College
then moved on to a Systems Support Analyst role at Xerox. Obakeng then contemplated running
for President but the brand building bug bit. He then moved on to work on projects that include
the 2010 Diski Dance, 2010 Diski Road show and the Telkom Charity Cup. Obakeng holds a
Diploma in Information Technology and has also completed the Common Purpose International
Navigator course for emerging leaders.
The turning point in Obakeng’s career came when during a career transition he was invited to
apply his relationship management skills as Project Manager of the 2010 Diski Dance and co-
ordinator in the Telkom Charity Cup 2009 & 2010 by the late Wendy Ramokgadi. It in this that
he gained extensive understanding of Tourism Marketing, events management, financial management,
brand activation and PR. Obakeng has amongst other things worked on or been part of the
following projects:

Visual Communication & Design: Kagiso J. Mogaole: Kagiso holds a Graphic and Web Development
Diploma from College Campus. He has worked for a numerous companies. He was a member at
Profound World IT & Business Solution CC and is currently a director at Profound World Design
(Pty) Ltd, Kanel Supplies (Pty) Ltd, was a nonexecutive member at Nvelaphanda Supplies CC.
Due to the responsibilities (these included the switchboard, design studio work, factory work and the
whole IT work of from the last 2 companies, apart from the ones he is managing) he was faced
with while working for these companies, he also acquired business and leadership skills and the
Business Skills Development programme he is currently studying with Dimension Data and Africa
Vukani also adds value to the company.

THE BRAND Copyright © Kago Events & Communications cc t/a Kago the Brand Reg: 2010/03918/23 9 Client: African National Congress- Chief Albert Luthuli Branch The Brief: Raise Funding and Execute a Memorial Lecture in Line with the organisations Centenary Celebrations of 2012 SOME OF OUR WORK The brief was given to us nine days before the event was supposed to take place we then used several directories to reach business people and senior political figures known to be benevolent towards the African National Congress. The promotion of the event was done simultaneously with the fundraising. The event ultimately went ahead and the then Deputy Minister in the Presidency gave an informative lecture on the life of Oliver Reginald Tambo. The 2010 Diski Dance was advance that was meant to showcase the Rhythm of South Africa during the world cup as part of the Fly the Flag campaign South African Tourism-Diski Challenge. THE BRAND Copyright © Kago Events & Communications cc t/a Kago the Brand Reg: 2010/03918/23 13 LEADERSHIP Chief Executive Officer: Obakeng Seageng: Obakeng has had a very fruitful and dynamic career in the Higher Education, Information Technology and eventually Marketing Communication & Public Relations which eventually led him to entrepreneurship. Throughout his journey Obakeng has managed to acquire leadership, communication, creative concept development and project management skills. He initially started his career as a student advisor at Boston City Campus and Business College then moved on to a Systems Support Analyst role at Xerox. Obakeng then contemplated running for President but the brand building bug bit. He then moved on to work on projects that include the 2010 Diski Dance, 2010 Diski Road show and the Telkom Charity Cup. Obakeng holds a Diploma in Information Technology and has also completed the Common Purpose International Navigator course for emerging leaders. The turning point in Obakeng’s career came when during a career transition he was invited to apply his relationship management skills as Project Manager of the 2010 Diski Dance and co- ordinator in the Telkom Charity Cup 2009 & 2010 by the late Wendy Ramokgadi. It in this that he gained extensive understanding of Tourism Marketing, events management, financial management, brand activation and PR. He was a member at Profound World IT & Business Solution CC and is currently a director at Profound World Design (Pty) Ltd, Kanel Supplies (Pty) Ltd, was a nonexecutive member at Nvelaphanda Supplies CC. Due to the responsibilities (these included the switchboard, design studio work, factory work and the whole IT work of from the last 2 companies, apart from the ones he is managing) he was faced with while working for these companies, he also acquired business and leadership skills and the Business Skills Development programme he is currently studying with Dimension Data and Africa Vukani also adds value to the company.
