This document discusses the co-evolution of transcriptional and post-translational regulation of protein complexes during the cell cycle. It describes how integrating multiple types of high-throughput data from different organisms, like expression data, protein interaction data, and phosphorylation data, provides insights into how protein complexes are dynamically regulated through just-in-time assembly. By analyzing temporal expression networks across species and mapping phosphorylation sites, researchers can better understand how dynamic subunits are regulated in a coordinated, temporal manner through transcription and post-translational modifications to facilitate flexible complex assembly during the cell cycle in different organisms.
