I. Introduction
Nadir Najjari is an expert and consultant specializing in energy conservation measures to achieve
energy efficiency and sustainability in the Middle East.
Gulf Green Environmental is a company specializing in supplying and installing Air Conditioning
energy savings, Grey Water Recycling, and non-chemical-based Waste Water Treatment Systems.
Also,we are pleased to inform you that our company became the first company to receive the
prestigious Green Middle East Award for Environmental Excel
lence 2012in the "Green
Technologies Sector."
The award waspresented to G.G.E. at the Hilton Hotel in Sharjah last October 2012.
We alsoobtained various testimonials from a range of applications, including Offices, Hotels,
Restaurants,Supermarkets, Labour Accommodation, etc., some of which are detailed below:
AlFuttaim (RealEstate) 20%
R.T.A. 32%
One to One Hotels 23%
Starbucks Coffee House 25%
MACE Contractors 24%
Trans Guard(Emirates) 25%
The Air Conditioning Energy Saver control is the U.K. manufactured and has the benefit of
worldwide testimonials, including a full Laboratory Test Report, and has received Awards in both
2006 and 2012.
The A.E.S.systems have a water-resistant enclosure or casing, are appropriate C.E.
marked, and benefit from a three-year warranty.
AIRCON ENERGY SAVER TEST
II. General Information
Our project was to reduce the energy consumption on the air conditioning system from
Jumeirah Group.
We selected the energy manager's office to conduct the test pilot. The site location is in the
Jumeirah site management offices of Burj Al ARAB, Wild Wadi & Jumeirah beach hotel (See the map
below).
We conducted the test in collaboration with the Energy manager of the Jumeirah group and under
the supervision of the technical director for 20 days and 24 hours per day.
The A.C. ran without A.E.S. as a typical situation for the first seven days. The following other (13)
days, the A.E.S. was connected to A.C. to control and optimize the operations.
Also, we have collected some data like the room temperature (electronic thermometer), the
temperature targeted (A.C.), and the room temperature shown on the remote control to keep the
same environmental situation during the test.
The air conditioner acclimatizes every room in the site office.
We demonstrated through this test pilot a positive achievement reaching an energy saving of 28%
III. Project Description:
lt is proposed to supply the Jumeirah Group with the "Aircon Energy Saver" to install within:-
• Offices
• Hotels
• Labour Accommodation
• Off-site storage
The A.E.S. systems will be installed by others, in part, under the supervision of Gulf Green
Environmental and complete installation instructions will be supplied.
The time envisaged for installing the systems will take place over one hour per system.
We would suggest that a kWh meter is used for any evaluation purposes, and a trial is based upon a
"one week on" and "one week ofF' basis. The kWh consumption can then be analyzed and the
savings established. The cost of this installation and associated equipment would be approximately
AED 2,400.00 per system.
For clarity, the cost of the evaluation includes:-
• A.E.S. Installation
• kWh meter
• Bypass switch
• Component box
• A.E.S. system
• interconnecting wiring (not more than 3 meters)

V. Data collected
The important parameters in this test comparison which
can increase or decrease the energy consumption are:
- The peoples in the offices , not peoples
- The external temperature
- The internal temperature
- The printers and computers
VI. Technical Specification

SOURCE V:220 240
OPERATION MODE : COOLING Hz : 50 RUNNING AMPS : 0,26

VII. Operation
The reverse cycle air conditioning principle is about a heat pump that transfers heat energy from one
place to another, keeping your room at a comfortable temperature.
Split system room air conditioners are made up of two separate units, one located inside the room
and the other outside. They are joined by two insulated copper pipes, which circulate a refrigerant. In
cooling mode, warm air from the room is drawn into the indoor unit, where heat is absorbed and
removed. Then, the air is recirculated back into the room, providing cooling, comfortable living even
on the hottest summer day. After reaching the set temperature, the operation is maintained at low
constant power.
VIII. A.E.S. Trial-Savings Explanations
Report regarding the PowerConsumption of the A.C. with and without the A.E.S.:-
• If you look at the graphs, you will notice the demand and consumption. The data and
inputs information appears because the data has been downloaded from the website,
imported into a spreadsheet, and analyzed with the available standard tools.
• Over the same period with the A.E.S. There was less demand without the A.E.S. than
during the A.E.S period.
• The energy- saving calculation made during this comparison confirmed a 28% energy
consumption savingwith the A.E.S.
• If you look at the graphs, you will notice the difference {both as a column and line graph).
• To point energy consumption, we usekWh (kilo Watt hour) how many watts are used
during 1hour.
• Tocalculate Watt, we use the formula P= U *Iand P =Watt;if I look at the data downloaded
from the site, I find Voltage {U) and 1 find Amperage {I).
• We then added the current (A)during the total time the A.E.S. was connected, 38A (for
seven days); if we divide these 38A with 7, the answer is 5,5A, as an average per day.
• We did the same with the graphs, which showed the data without the A.E.S., and we
identified a38A reading and atotal running time of 3.6days.
• If we divide 38A by 3.6 days, we havean average of 10.5 A.
• This is a theory, but it indicates that the used power (Amps) is a good indicator of A.E.S.
savings over the same period.
• So, the statement that the unit with the A.E.S.uses more energy is inaccurate.
• When assuming all conditions are equal, apart from the A.E.S. installation, it is impossible
to usemore energy with A.E.S.
• The A.E.S. works in series with the thermostat; if the thermostat is switching the unit off,
the A.E.S. can never switch it on since we have two contacts in series, sothe team will be if
the A.E.S. and the thermostat are switched on.
• Taking into consideration the demand factor and all other variables, we can conclude that
even if it seems that the unit is consuming more power with the A.E.S., the case is the
opposite.
• The A.E.S. only prevents the unit from switching on again when sufficient cooling is available
and will never override the thermostat.

Also,we are pleased to inform you that our company became the first company to receive the prestigious Green Middle East Award for Environmental Excel lence 2012in the "Green Technologies Sector." The award waspresented to G.G.E. at the Hilton Hotel in Sharjah last October 2012. We alsoobtained various testimonials from a range of applications, including Offices, Hotels, Restaurants,Supermarkets, Labour Accommodation, etc., some of which are detailed below: AlFuttaim (RealEstate) 20% R.T.A. 32% One to One Hotels 23% Starbucks Coffee House 25% MACE Contractors 24% Trans Guard(Emirates) 25% The Air Conditioning Energy Saver control is the U.K. manufactured and has the benefit of worldwide testimonials, including a full Laboratory Test Report, and has received Awards in both 2006 and 2012. The A.E.S.systems have a water-resistant enclosure or casing, are appropriate C.E. marked, and benefit from a three-year warranty.
  • 4. AIRCON ENERGY SAVER TEST II. General Information Our project was to reduce the energy consumption on the air conditioning system from Jumeirah Group. We selected the energy manager's office to conduct the test pilot. The site location is in the Jumeirah site management offices of Burj Al ARAB, Wild Wadi & Jumeirah beach hotel (See the map below). We conducted the test in collaboration with the Energy manager of the Jumeirah group and under the supervision of the technical director for 20 days and 24 hours per day. The A.C. ran without A.E.S. as a typical situation for the first seven days. The following other (13) days, the A.E.S. was connected to A.C. to control and optimize the operations. Also, we have collected some data like the room temperature (electronic thermometer), the temperature targeted (A.C.), and the room temperature shown on the remote control to keep the same environmental situation during the test. The air conditioner acclimatizes every room in the site office. We demonstrated through this test pilot a positive achievement reaching an energy saving of 28%
  • 5. III. Project Description: lt is proposed to supply the Jumeirah Group with the "Aircon Energy Saver" to install within:- • Offices • Hotels • Labour Accommodation • Off-site storage The A.E.S. systems will be installed by others, in part, under the supervision of Gulf Green Environmental and complete installation instructions will be supplied. The time envisaged for installing the systems will take place over one hour per system. We would suggest that a kWh meter is used for any evaluation purposes, and a trial is based upon a "one week on" and "one week ofF' basis. The kWh consumption can then be analyzed and the savings established. The cost of this installation and associated equipment would be approximately AED 2,400.00 per system. For clarity, the cost of the evaluation includes:- • A.E.S. Installation • kWh meter • Bypass switch • Component box • A.E.S. system • interconnecting wiring (not more than 3 meters)

  • 9. VI. Technical Specification COOLWAVE – WFC018M AIR CONDITIONER INDOOR UNIT SOURCE V:220 240 OPERATION MODE : COOLING Hz : 50 RUNNING AMPS : 0,26 Capacity : Btu/Hr:18000 Net Weight : 13,5 kg VII. Operation The reverse cycle air conditioning principle is about a heat pump that transfers heat energy from one place to another, keeping your room at a comfortable temperature. Split system room air conditioners are made up of two separate units, one located inside the room and the other outside. They are joined by two insulated copper pipes, which circulate a refrigerant. In cooling mode, warm air from the room is drawn into the indoor unit, where heat is absorbed and removed. Then, the air is recirculated back into the room, providing cooling, comfortable living even on the hottest summer day. After reaching the set temperature, the operation is maintained at low constant power. VIII. A.E.S. Trial-Savings Explanations Report regarding the PowerConsumption of the A.C. with and without the A.E.S.:- • If you look at the graphs, you will notice the demand and consumption. The data and inputs information appears because the data has been downloaded from the website, imported into a spreadsheet, and analyzed with the available standard tools. • Over the same period with the A.E.S. There was less demand without the A.E.S. than during the A.E.S period. • The energy- saving calculation made during this comparison confirmed a 28% energy consumption savingwith the A.E.S.
  • 10. • If you look at the graphs, you will notice the difference {both as a column and line graph). • To point energy consumption, we usekWh (kilo Watt hour) how many watts are used during 1hour. • Tocalculate Watt, we use the formula P= U *Iand P =Watt;if I look at the data downloaded from the site, I find Voltage {U) and 1 find Amperage {I). • We then added the current (A)during the total time the A.E.S. was connected, 38A (for seven days); if we divide these 38A with 7, the answer is 5,5A, as an average per day. • We did the same with the graphs, which showed the data without the A.E.S., and we identified a38A reading and atotal running time of 3.6days. • When assuming all conditions are equal, apart from the A.E.S. installation, it is impossible to usemore energy with A.E.S. • The A.E.S. works in series with the thermostat; if the thermostat is switching the unit off, the A.E.S. can never switch it on since we have two contacts in series, sothe team will be if the A.E.S. and the thermostat are switched on. • Taking into consideration the demand factor and all other variables, we can conclude that even if it seems that the unit is consuming more power with the A.E.S., the case is the opposite. • The A.E.S. only prevents the unit from switching on again when sufficient cooling is available and will never override the thermostat.
