The asset management described within the presentation represents the major challenge in the private or the public sector; we can proactively operate only if we know enough details about the assets in our facilities. It is beneficial for the FM industry and mainly helpful for the operations & maintenance services to have an updated database of each asset with their exact location, detailed technical specifications, and maintenance status; IoT technology today can help in real-time to monitor complex services activities and identify the performance of the assets preventively to predict any actions to keep them operational and avoid corrective measures which could increase costs. Through IPA protocol, the innovative technology can be developed in-house and integrated quickly into any CAFM system. Develop a solution designed for scanning a QR code stuck on any assets by a tool incorporating a digital identification code allocated to any FM engineer in charge of the maintenance: will allow the operations team to manage operations engaged on each specific system remotely from the command control center. Implementing this innovative technology has significant advantages, like increasing the time to respond to any demand coming from the customers; it will facilitate the team in their decision process, reduce labor costs, and improve the performance of the equipment and materials running in the building.
