Joseph provides a more convincing statement by citing a news article from a credible source, Inquirer.net, that clarifies rumors are unconfirmed and the local chief executive only wanted residents to be cautious. He considers details like the source, supporting facts, and date while Maria's claim lacks verification. Spreading unchecked information online can cause unnecessary worry if not properly fact-checked against reliable sources.

1st DB:
COVID-19 is growing at a rate that I am assuming many of us, including myself, did not expect. The CDC contains so much information about this virus that it can sometimes be hard to understand. CDC uses source credibility to there advantage. I do not know of any other source that I would trust more than the CDC regarding the information on COVID-19, and the government is making it very clear that we need to listen by constantly reminding us to listen to the CDC and check their website for updates. The information should continue to come through the CDC as we continue into this unknown territory because that is just what it is. Many of us have never seen anything like this and we need to be able to turn to a reliable source in time of need. I believe that all important information should continue to be provided by the CDC in a timely fashion.
2nd DB:
When looking at the CDC website on how to control COVID-19 the biggest thing was "know how it spreads." Under this section they mentioned how there is no vaccine to prevent the coronavirus disease and that the best way to prevent it is to avoid being exposed to this virus. This meaning, to basically cut off all human contact with others for as long as the government tells you to do so. With this, some may think that this is a very healthy decision to do this and others may think it is ridiculous. I am a bit of both. I believe that the attitudes of others who are just sitting in their houses and doing nothing else is negatively affecting this world because they get mad at those who are going out and about for walks, grocery stores when they did not stock up like a crazy person before the lock down was in place. these behaviors are unacceptable to me because there are first people out there who simply cannot afford to to buy in bulk and stockpile when the stores have never closed once in this, the hours may have changed a bit but that is it. In the end this is something that is getting blown out of proportion due to this happening every election year. This is still a very sad and serious time but the media also only wants to put out the bad that happens and not the good and that is what bothers me. The behavior should be distributed in a positive way by giving out the information that people who are getting the virus are actually recovering. They never say how many people have recovered from it, only those who have died. That behavior is not demonstrated in a efficient and positive way. When giving out the information that the US now has more deaths than any other country, they are not thinking about. how in the US we have test kits more readily than places like China did. China may have had less documented cases but that is only because of less test kits available to test people. Overall, I know that this could be distributed and demonstrated a lot better than it has.

Monitoring and Understanding the Co-Spread of COVID-19 Misinformation and Fact-checks”. Using more than 3 years of data collected from Twitter and fact-checking organizations and a combination of spread variance analysis, impulse response modeling, and causal analysis, we will highlight the weak causal relationships between the spread of misinformation and fact-checks and discuss what topics are the less likely to be affected by fact-checks. We will also show how the proposed observatory can be used for tracking demographics, fact-checks, and topics over time.

Existence of Social Media in Pandemic Boon or Baneijtsrd
This article aims to highlight the role and accountability of media and social networking sites in the pandemic situation. In the contemporary world, where everything is being advanced, the role and position of media and social networking sites have also been changed and become more strong. The year 2020 has marked its name in history due to the lockdown and closing of all the borders and states. This kind of lockdown has never ever been happened in the society and in the world. This is due to the virus namely Corona Virus, due to which this type of situation has occurred. Now, in such hard time, the role of media has also increased. Their role is just not to protect the life of people but also ensure that no wrong information be shared with the people which resulted in misleading the folk. Along with that, the role of media is to be the safeguard of the society and help the authorities to know the position of people living in countryside and urban areas. Hence, this article would try to analyze the role played by media and tries to find out whether social networking and media are boon for the society or bane in this alarming situation. medical professional who attended to a diseased

I hope they are fine.

April 4, 2021, I have read some news from the inquirer.net

Based on the article, the Municipal Health Office of Lucban
had clarified the said issue. According to them, the mayor
only wanted to quote one of the medical professionals
who attended to the deceased patient that there is a big
possibility that it was caused by a UK Variant, but there is
no confirmatory test performed yet. They have also added
that they are already trying to process a genome
sequencing of a direct contact of the late patient and the
local chief executive only wanted the residents to be
vigilant and safe.

14. Duterte warns of new lockdown if Delta variant causes surge in COVID-19 cases
JUL 26, 2021 8:10 PM PHT
BONZ MAGSAMBOL
MANILA, PHILIPPINES
However, the President's public address – which ran for nearly three hours – fails to mention the government's
game plan against the Delta variant
President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, July 26, warned of a new lockdown if the highly-transmissible COVID-19
Delta variant spreads in the country.
Delta (variant), if ever it will spread.... If something wrong happens, I have to be strict and I have now my word
that there will be, just like what happened in the early days," Duterte said in his sixth and final State of the Nation
Address (SONA).
Despite his own warning, Duterte contradicted himself when he said in the same speech that the country could
not afford more lockdowns.
"We have spent enormous amounts of resources to build our capacity to overcome this pandemic. We cannot
afford more lockdowns," he said.
The Delta variant, which was first detected in India, is ravaging Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia, Thailand,
and Malaysia.
The Philippines now has 119 known cases of the highly transmissible variant, but there are concerns that the
actual number may be far higher, as the Philippine Genome Center is only sequencing a small percentage of the
positive cases.
To prevent further local transmission of the Delta variant, the government has imposed travel bans where it is
widespread.
