J.P Harris had a difficult childhood, leaving home at 14 and living homeless for 4 years. However, he used his experiences to write country songs and produce two successful albums. His debut album "I'll Keep Calling" was released in 2012 and won "Best Country Album of 2012". Rolling Stone recognized J.P Harris as one of the top country artists to see in 2014 and 2015.

1. J.P Harris and the Tough Choices
J.P Harris was born in Montgomery in 1983. He left home at 14, travelling via
hitchhiking and hiding on freight trains and lived the next 4 years of his life mostly
from a backpack and sleeping bag.
However, using these experiences, J.P has written multiple Country Songs and
produced 2 albums. His first, “I’ll Keep Calling”, was released in May of 2012. Shortly
after it’s release, it won “Best Country Album of 2012”.
Rolling Stone named JP Harris one of 2014’s “Country Tours Not To Miss”, as well as
one of “21 Must See Country Acts at SXSW 2015”.
