Miranda Lambert is a country music star from Texas who began performing at a young age. She entered her first talent show at age 10 and started writing her own songs after learning guitar. Lambert competed on the reality show Nashville Star in 2003 where she didn't win but was noticed and signed to a major record label. Her debut album Kerosene in 2005 was a commercial and critical success, selling over 900,000 copies. Lambert's second album Crazy Ex-Girlfriend in 2007 also topped the charts and included hit singles like "Gunpowder and Lead." She has since won several Country Music Association and Grammy awards and continues to record and tour internationally.
