I. Write: Write a journal entry for each one of the following topics. They should be turned in on November 19th:
Rosetta Stone: Why do you think the Rossetta Stone was so valuable for archaeologists and historians?
Indiana Jones: Archaeologists dug a lot of things out of the desert in Egypt. Thanks to themwe know a lot about the Egyptian
Civilization. Indiana Jones is a fictional archaeologist. Do you think archaeologists are like him? Explain why. If you don’t
know who he is, watch a movie called “Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Arc”.
Prejudice: Have you ever been influenced by prejudice? Did you judge someone or something without knowing it/them? Or
have you ever seen somebody do that. Write about your personal experiences with it!
Hindu Kush: It actually means: dead Indian. Look at it on a map. Find out what its characteristics are, in order to understand
its name. Explain why it is called like that, and do you agree with the name? Remember, no copy/paste is allowed
River Valley Civilizations: Sumer, Egypt and India developed as RV Civilizations. What do they all have in common?
